My name is Dolly... I am happily married to the man of my dreams, a mom of 3 wonderful adults!I am blessed with 4 precious grandbabies, who light up my life!!! We live in the country, surrounded by gods many creations! I am old fashion at heart! {Born in the wrong era} I love to garden, grow and can our own food! I love to hang my laundry out on the line to dry! I love to iron our bedding and clothes!

Things that make my heart sing... laughter from a child, the smell of a new baby, hugs and kisses, walks down the country roads, cottage gardens, pink roses, lilacs, hydrangeas, lily of the valley, hollyhocks, daisys, pansys,long drives on the back roads on a cool summer day, big old barns,walking hand in hand with my hubby, window shopping, antiqueing, flea markets,tag sales, yard sales, haunting resale shops, girly boutiques, the color pink, big old victorian homes,bed and breakfasts,a down filled comforter and down pillow, wicker loveseats and rockers filled with pretty pillows,good chocolate {godiva}, random acts of kindness,chia tea & cappacino, a cup of hot tea and my favorite magazine,coconut maccroon cookies, gardening magazines, home decorating magazines, vintage victorian girly girl things, bath n body works cotton blossom anything, cinnamon, vanilla and hazelnut scented candles, millinery flowers, pearls and lace! I better stop now! :-)

I collect, heart shaped rocks, jadite, rose covered tea pots & cups, pink & green depression glass,crystal candlesticks, birdhouses, vintage linens, lace,tea towels and tablecloths,picnic baskets,gardening tools,vintage easter decor, quilts,sepia wedding and children pictures,old tattered teddy bears,floral hat boxs,Besse Pease pictures,rose plates and platters,old chandeliers,vintage frames,Chairs... I just loooove chairs! OH I could go on and on but you get the idea!

I don't like...the color BLUE, cheap chocolate, cutsey stuff,no disney, hello kitty, plastic garden crap or pink flamingos for me!

A peek into our home...... Our guest bath is red and black, black toile, vintage perfume signs and hooks ~ french chic! My kitchen is red, white and jadite green ~ decor tin ceiling,vintage cherries and jadite glassware! Dinning room is creamy vanilla, pinks n sagey green ~ decor tea cups and teapots, vintage lace and rose plates ~ semi formal - shabby chic! Frontroom is wine and green and cream ~ victorian decor~ Bedroom is sage and cream with soft pink roses ~ rose covered duvet on an old iron bed, rose paintings and chippy furniture ~shabby chic romantic, Guest room is yellow, cream and pink ~ shabby chic!

I love to crank up the oldies real loud and do my housework when I am home alone! Hubby does'nt appreciate it but it motivates me! I love the old rock musicians like Bob Seger, Journey, Elton John, Phil Collins,Bruce Springsteen, Yanni, Carol King etc....

My favorite movies of all times is Ghost and I am Sam! I am not much of a movie watcher can you tell!

I am not a tv watcher... If I had my way we would not have a tv in the house! It's here for the kids and grandbabies to watch when they visit! I don't like the noise or the trash!!!

I love to try any new craft...I have done sewing, macrame, crochet,decoupage, tole painting, stained glass,ceramics, counted crossstitch, you name it!

My very favorites that I still do regularly are... crocheting afghans & baby bonnets,gardening, photography, sewing pillows, totes and bibs, painting on wood or anything that does'nt move,I love to find old useless things and give them a new life!

I'd love to try scrap booking , digital scrapping, and all the new paper crafts that I see everywhere!
