I'm a 28 year old Scottish girly who now lives in Staffordshire with my husband.

I spent the first 21 years of my life living with my parents in East Kilbride, Lanarkshire, Scotland where I was educated and joined the working world. I was an only but not lonely child.

I have suffered a lot of ups and downs in the last fifteen years which have had a very adverse effect on my health and my outlook on life so I often find myself relying on crafts to get through the day.

I tend to keep myself to myself a lot of the time, though I do enjoy building online friendships as I find that easier to be myself rather than face to face.

I enjoy going out walking with my husband and our three dogs... two chihuahuas and one crossbreed looney!! Our dogs are our babies and always come before ourselves.

My main craft is cardmaking... keepsake cards and greetings cards.

I also enjoy drawing/sketching, acrylic painting, watercolour painting, crocheting, latch hook work and poetry.

At the moment I am looking into 'how to' guides for making sock monkeys as this is something new that I'd like to try.

My favourite crafting tools are my Sizzix Big Shot and my Crop-a-dile!! Don't think I could live without either of them, though I also live for my Glitter Girls Bookatrix board as I just love the cards I can create with it.

My taste in music is really varied and our cd collection covers soooo many different genres but my favourite songs are:

I am a bit of a hoarder and never throw anything away if I think it might come in useful at any point, especially in my crafting, especially fabric, buttons, fancy papers and anything unusual.

Hubby and I love to go travelling to explore new places, though most of our ventures have been in Scotland and England... there are so many beautiful places we are yet to visit and not enough hours in the day to get everything done to allow us to pack up and go travelling.

A UK roadtrip would be fab!!

Most of our foreign travel has been to Spain... Benidorm, Majorca and Gran Canaria and those were fab relaxing holidays but our best holiday by far was a four week adverture to New Zealand's north island... fantastic!! I'd love to go back as there is so much more to see and lots more crafty shopping to be done ;)

I love chinese food but hate thai food.

I love dogs but am not so keen on cats.

I have a fear of heights but love fairground rides.

I love fast cars but don't have a driving licence.

I'd love to get a tattoo but have a fear of needles.

I have a fear of spiders and snakes.

I'd much rather spend money on crafty bits than on designer clothes ;)

My favourite colours are blue and purple though I quite like pink in moderation, I'm not really a fan of green or yellow. I also love black and white together as it can look so dramatic and elegant.

I still have the dolls house my Dad made for me when I was a child which is the 1/18th scale... it is sat here in my craft room desperately needing renovated and one day I hope to have the time to decorate it throughout and return it to it's former glory.

I would love to learn to knit as I think this is a craft which sadly doesn't seem to be as popular as it used to be but at the moment I don't have the time... hopefully one day I will be able to sit down and learn this new skill.

I have tried my hand at mosaic work in the past but never really had the chance to expand on that, so I'd like to have a play around with that and look at the various techniques when I get time.

My all time favourite has to be milk chocolate though I like dark chocolate in small quantities.

I don't like white chocolate.

I love lollies, fruit flavoured candies and anything minty.

Caramel and nutty chocolates are a huge hit with hubby and I :)

I love unusual and unique embellishments and toppers for cards... my faves were little wooden kiwi birds that I bought in New Zealand... I just love anything 'different'

I also love unusual cardstock... I go through loads of A4 card with my keepsake cards and love anything that's a little unusual :)

My little cousin's collect postcards from around the world so I'd love to be able to help add to their collection.

I love to receive any surprise gifts/swaps including penpal letters, stickers, anythinig to do with crafting and would love to hear from anyone interested in private swaps :)
