I'm a busy post-graduate student and I live my life a million miles an hour. But I love snail mail and taking the time to make connections with people all over the world. I am a big animal lover and would have so many pets if I could provide a good home for them all. At the moment I have a little white cat called Shiro and a lot of gorgeous tropical fish who are named after various friends and family members of mine and partner. We would love to have a dog but right now don't have the space and our landlord wouldn't be too happy. One day we will have our own house with more space and be able to give a dog a home. My partner is a film and television editor and we have been together for four years. We both want to do more traveling in the future and love hearing about different places all over the world. I started a blog some time ago in the effort to take the time to appreciate little pleasures in my life. Feel free to check it out the link is listed my website. That is how I got into snail mail and making connections with people world wide. There is nothing like coming home to something nice in the mail whether it is a postcard or a package.

I like everything but here are some specific things:

Books, of all kinds but especially a good novel.

Scented things, like soap, candles, perfume, body butter. I love clean, fresh or fruity scents.

Socks, because you can never get enough of them.

Owls.

Russian dolls.

Chocolate, I mean who doesn't like that.

Art of all kinds. I'm doing a contemporary art paper at uni just out of interest and I absolutely love it.

Postcards, especially art postcards or with an interesting picture.

Without sounding cliche, places like Paris and New York fascinate me.

Random kitchen stuff. This is a small addiction of mine.

Maps, vintage prints.

Scarves especially of the woolen variety. It gets pretty cold here in NZ sometimes.

Unique jewelery, my style is quite girlie.

Random acts of kindness. I love to hear stories of these.

Lip gloss.

Polaroids.

Journals, stationary, pens, pencils, notebooks. This love goes back a long way.

I will add to this as I think of other things :)

I honestly like most things but science fiction, peas, religious information and anything smutty probably won't win my heart.
