For this swap you will send a package (you choose the size) to a Soldier,Airman,Marine,Sailor or Coastie. You can choose to send to someone you know or I can get an address for a Soldier for you to send to. Where the swapping comes in is where you take 2-3 photos of what you are sending to your 'Soldier' and send the photos (email) to your partner.

This swap is open to anyone no matter what your opinions on war are but rather the support of a military member. However due to some suspicious sign ups I will be not be allowing newbies (you must have 25+ snail mail swaps completed). Please note that part of the swap is to take photos of what you are sending your Soldier. You don't have to send a lot at all but please take photos. Please no flakers.

Suggestions as to what to send:

Snacks, toiletries, letter writing materials, crosswords, books, mix cds,a letter etc.

If you have questions feel free to pm me! If you need an address of a Soldier please PM me as I don't come back to this page often.

These are such great swaps! Last time I participated I sent a HUGE package of handmade cards to A Million Thanks (www.amillionthanks.org). Is this still okay?

I know that they also need and want lip balm and (believe it or not ) Silly String, as they can find trip wires with the stuff without gettiong themselves blown up. They also like the little packets that you put in water to make it flovored. I am a newbie but hope this helps.

BabyGrins-I think I remember my husband saying they need silly string so I was like 'huh what? LOL

I'm in, what can I do?

I don't have enough swaps under my belt but signed up anyway.... hope you don't ban me. I really want to participate in this one. I promise to put together a great care package. It's a wonderful idea and I also want to get my 6 year old son to help me pick out a few things. What a great lesson for him!

My hubby is Kurkuk... He says they get bombed all the time there and that when people send the injured soldiers things that it makes them especially happy to know they are being thought of. i dont know how to get contacts with injured soldiers but its a thought.
