Description:

This is a bit of an unorthodox swap - for people who like to browse online and find gifts, and for those who need some gift inspiration. In this swap, each person will post some stats about 2 recipients for whom she needs gift ideas. You will look at your partner's comment and come up with gift ideas for her.

This is an e-swap; you will email your partner.

Once you join this swap, please post a comment with all of the following information (copy and paste to make it easy) for both of your recipients:
+ Age:
+ Sex:
+ Relationship to You:
+ 3 Ways They Spend Their Time:
+ 5 Things They Like:
+ Anything That's a Definite No:
+ Past Gifts You've Given:
+ Preference for Handmade or Store-bought:
+ Price Range:
If you do not satisfactorily fill out this form before the start date, you will not be able to participate.

After partners are assigned, find your partner's comment below. Come up with 10 gift ideas for each of their 2 recipients, based on the information they've provided. Find online links to examples of at least 5 of your gift ideas for each recipient. (Just to make it clear, that's 20 total ideas and 10 total links!) Compile all this into an email, and send it to your partner!

This is kind of a complicated swap, even though it is through email, so I'm going to put standard restrictions on it.
+ 4.7 rating or higher
+ no 1s in the last 3 months (PM me about unfair ratings)
+ be rated in at least one swap of substance (no brand-newbies)

Questions, comments, clarification? Please feel free to PM me or post a comment below!

  • Age: 79
  • Sex: Female
  • Relationship to You: Grandma
  • 3 Ways They Spend Their Time: Cooking, cleaning, camping
  • 5 Things They Like: Reading (books by Nora Roberts and Danielle Steel), television (shows such as Law & Order & Judge Judy, and talk shows like Dr. Phil), traveling in her motor home with her husband (my Grandpa) to the desert and Palm Springs, and up north to Sacramento to visit with family, shopping for clothes (she likes socks a lot, lol), collecting figurines and knick knacks, esp. pretty things like hummingbirds, carousels, glass figurines, plates, and she also like frames for the many pictures of her new Great Grandchildren.:c)
  • Anything That's a Definite No: Purses--she's very picky about them and is always changing them (so if you picked one out for her, she's probably find something wrong with it and return it, lol), but she's not really picky about anything else.
  • Past Gifts You've Given: Pretty and cute things like a teddy bear from Hallmark that says, "Beary Best Grandma" (hee), an apple clock for her kitchen, place mats for the kitchen table, frames, pretty plates with stands, and she also likes tea a lot so tea is always a good idea, or anything relating to tea...
  • Preference for Handmade/Store-bought: Socks are cool (handmade or store bought), anything from Hallmark, place mats (handmade or store bought), frames, and as I mentioned above, tea, et cetera, or country music CDs....
  • Price Range: $25-$30 (I'm on Social Security so I have to really budget!)
