Hi! I'm Jenna! I live in IL with my fantastic spouse. We share our mid-century modern house with our kids: a wonderful Angora cat, Stewart, a beautiful Brittany named Dot and an active, young pit mix named Taco. We also recently adopted a second Brittany name Holly.

I work in a library and love it! In my off time I am a a dog trainer, pet sitter, and quilter. I enjoy vegetable and flower gardening, nature walks, and making crafts for my favorite charities, Days for Girls and Project Linus. I am a Team Leader for Days for Girls. I have a degree in Recreation (Leisure Studies) so I know how to have some serious fun!

My favorite holidays are Christmas (secular) and Valentine's Day (Halloween follows close behind). I am vegetarian and I really like sweets (especially chocolate, almond-flavored things and twizzlers). I love handmade things! I grew up on a farm and love animals of any kind. My favorites are dogs (of course), guinea pigs, turkeys, and penguins.

My style is modern, casual, bright and cheerful. My favorite color combos are pink/red/orange, pink/brown and purple/orange. I like stickers, notecards, and funny socks. I am a fabric hoarder and LOVE pretty cotton solids, modern prints and fun I-spy type prints. I also like stickers and stamped images I can use to make greetings cards.

I enjoy yoga and meditation, it helps with my anxiety. I am a Unitarian Universalist and more political than I ever saw myself being. I am pretty handy around the house and like to tackle projects on the weekends. I can fix a toilet and hang shelves but I wish I was better at home decor.

I wear size X-Large clothing, size 10 shoes, glasses and I have pierced ears. I don't wear makeup. I wear a lanyard at work every day and I LOVE to switch them up each week. I also decorate them with enamel pins, especially Disney pins.

What I like best is when someone puts effort into something. I like to see what others have learned, what skills and talents exist in the world! Some of my favorite items I have received were handmade, well-crafted, and well thought out. Not all swaps I sign up for are for handmade items, but when they are I truly appreciate the time you put into it.

I also LOVE a well decorated envelope!

Even though I work in a library and I like to read, I am a very slow reader. I mostly like to read nonfiction books, but can re-read the Trixie Belden series and Little House books over and over. (Kids books, I know! But they are very relaxing for me.) Currently I am enjoying the Chet and Bernie mystery series and started reading some Terry Pratchett on the suggestion of my spouse.
