Let's get this group up and rolling in this wonderful autumn weather! (At least it is in the Northern Hemisphere!) Creat a mini-tag (something like a Skinny= 3x5 inches) with a hole at the top for the ribbon or yarn/twine. Of course the theme will be about cats -- that's why we're here! Paint it, rubber stamp it, use any art medium you prefer, giving you lots of time to create it before the swap closes. Add texture and dimension! Are your create juices bubbling up?? We all have decent ratings so not to go on about that - you all know the drill! Please PM me for any clarification. Make a great skinny-tag for your kitty-kat partner :-)

I like new-to-tags swappers! A usual size is 3 x 6 inches, with a hole in the top for the string or twine. Not for the cat to wear :-) Although mine likes to play with the ribbons and the strings! It is a mini-piece of art. Some people put wire through the tag to hang it (like on a Christmas tree). But ribbons are fine. This tag may be slightly smaller, 3 x 5. Just deorate it the way you would an ATC, only this is a bigger "canvas"! You can make your own out of manila folders or buy them -- craft stores have Tim Holtz style tags to decorate. OR: Check out youtube.com for inspiration -- although when we have our kitties that is inspiration aplenty!

i never made a ATC like to get into makeing them.some people give us newbies to crafting bad rate score becos we dont turn out master peices 1st time round.bit weary joining out of group swaps becos of this.does it matter if it end up been bit bigger than 3x5?i suffer rheumatoid arthritis in my fingers and wrists so have my good days and bad days.can we decorate it anyway we want? been newbie to crafting i dont have any stampers never seen any for cats. very excited about this...dont want to mess up.

3 x 5 is the "mini-tag" size, but I'm sure your partner is not going to get a tape measure out!!! Yes, decorate it kitty-katt style. You can use cat stickers too, stamps are not absolutely necessary. Just make it a cat theme. Hope this helps.

One more question :) As it's like an ATC so it's made of cardboard or something like that, right? And @Reauk I'm sure your partner will understand that it's hard to make just the size and not all of us are artists :) We do our best!

oh forgot to ask that lol @johkup ... @kerrydwynni found some preprinted prethread with ribbon tags can i use that? redecorated over that? with a cat theme? thanks

can we decored both sides of the tag? or is it just one side?

Generally it's one side -- but no one would fault you if you did both sides :-) And sure @reauk if there are some preprinted with ribbons, use them, add your cat theme.
