Decorated/Altered Matchbox for Beginners

i have a question... how is a matchbox swap supposed to be sent out? in what kind of envelope? should we include anything outside? i have no idea and no clue Oo

I would suggest sending it in a bubble envelope or at least wrapping it before putting it in a normal envelope to reduce the chance of it getting squished (though it should be solid enough to hold its shape). What do you mean by include anything outside?

I've decided to make my own matchbox I'm so excited to start and get a swap under my belt!

I am brand new to Swap Bot and it is hard to find swaps that will allow newbies. Thanks soooo much for putting on this swap!!! I am super excited to get started. :)

does the size of the match box matter?? Should it be a traditional size?? I have made some much larger. :)

I'm so glad people are joining this swap :) If possible, try to go for a traditional, smaller size. Making it yourself is fine (that's what I plan to do) and there are templates online though you might have to look quite hard for one that is free. If however, you absolutely can't manage a smaller one, then a larger one is fine.

When sending your matchbox, I would highly recommend wrapping it and putting it in a bubble envelope. I've received a few matchboxes that were sent in a regular envelope and none of them arrived in very good condition.
