I'm a UK librarian. In my spare time I make and sell jewellery, and also try out lots of other crafts.

I will try and send out things that your profile suggests you like, and will always swap on time.

I collect stamps for charity, so if you are able to consider this when sending me mail, that would be great. If not, that's fine too :)

Apart from jewellery making (chiefly glass beads, wire work and chainmaille), I also embroider, crochet, weave, make cards and I am teaching myself to spin on a spindle. Sometimes I needle felt (very therapeutic). I enjoy reading and computers, and baking cakes and biscuits for my housemates and coworkers.

In general I just love getting mail. So whatever you send me, if it's thoughtful/not the contents of your bin, the chances are good that I will love it. But I know that's not actually very helpful, so here are some preferences if you want. Also you can check out my pinterest account for more ideas of stuff I like or just to see some fab pictures.

Things I like

• Books, things about books, things made from books, things for books--I'm flying the librarian stereotype flag :)

• The sci-fi, fantasy and urban fantasy genres, e.g. Neil Gaiman, Discworld, dragons, elves, vampires, werewolves (not particularly Twilight), Asimov, magic...

• Urban Threads--this is the type of embroidery I like, subversive, sometime cute, often with monsters

• Ninjas--my litte sister's a black belt in TKD so I'm always on the look out for cool stuff for her

• Pirates

• Buttons (the sewing-on-clothes kind)--not sure why, there's just something about them. And they're very hoardable :)

• Shaped biscuit/cookie cutters and decorations

• Turquoise, teal, blue, lime/bright green, purple, dark brown

• Funky postcards that I can send on to friends

• Fabrics, especially patterned cotton, or baby cord, velvet(ish) ones, brushed cotton or flannel

• Fibre I can needle felt or (try to) spin

• Rubber ducks

• Beads--I love beads, especially glass or metal beads

• Reese's peanut butter cups--a friend brought some back from the US and they are amazing!

Things I'd prefer not to receive

• Religious materials

• Overly flowery, cutesy or fussily patterned things

• Baby pink in large quantities

• Hershey's chocolate

• Plastic pony beads
