I've been a teacher for ten years and generally spend my summers working out, shopping, playing with my two monster dogs, golfing with my Bob, upcycling furniture, doing home renos, quilting, shopping and sewing. A good friend of mine suggested this website as I am having surgery on my feet and will be off work for three months. I love the colours purple and red, most things vintage or antique, and sewn crafts. I'm not really into cartoony stuff, kitties or flowers.

Depends on what I'm doing! I'm a huge fan of rap/hip-hop and some electronica if I'm working out, running or biking. Aside from that my tastes are pretty broad, the Pixies, Ben Harper, Eddie Vedder, OutKast...

I'm not a huge reader because I generally have difficulty sitting still long enough to read anything, and I have the attention span of a flea. I generally read what ever people give me though! Most recently my students got me to read the hunger game series and a friend got me to read the 50 Shades of Grey series.

I love movies, there are very few that I don't like. I love ridiculous "horror" movies that are always on the space channel with killer bees, or giant spiders or sharks. I loved Eastern Promises, Amelie, The 7 Year Itch, Chocolat, movies about sports/fighting, action movies and comedies.

Right now I'm glued to the Olympics, but more regularly I watch True Blood, the Walking Dead, Criminal Minds, the Big Bang Theory and So You Think You Can Dance.

I've been introduced to card making, but I find I only enjoy it if I'm doing it in a group with other people. I love refinishing, reupholstering and building furniture. But on a smaller scale I like quilting and a variety of other sewing projects.
