Hi! My name is Milly, I am 18 and I live in the North East of England. I study history and politics at university, with a special interest in 20th Century Europe. I love snail mail, postcard swaps and penpals, and it's my favourite hobby I have. I hope to slowly involve myself more and more with swap-bot as I understand it better, and swap more and more things as time goes on! Right now I'm here for snail mail primarily but there are other things that seem super cool that I hope to get in on.

I love travelling, so far I have been to 7 countries and next year I hope to make it 15. Learning about other cultures is really interesting to me and I really enjoy exchanging my culture too. Even subtle differences between the USA and UK amaze me!!

I bullet journal and plan for fun and enjoy these creative ventures. Washi tape, writing sets and all other kinds of stationary are wonderful. I have a little office that I use to do uni work in but also for all my stationary fun. I'm slowly decorating a wall in my house with postcards I receive too!

Currently (Dec 2017) I am going through treatment for Hodgkins Lymphoma (cancer). I will finish treatment in Feb 2018 hopefully, so right now I spend a lot of time in the house looking for ways to spend my time! This kinda thing is great for me to do. Please no excessive sympathy though, I'm doing great.

Generally I wanna get to know people and receiving mail makes me super happy. If you would like to be pen-pals that would be super cool, I love writing and connecting to others :)

I like avant-garde and electronic music, a lot of weird stuff. Bibio, baths, tame impala, crim3s, grimes, any witch house, tune-yards, jamie xx, that sort of thing. If you've heard of it then thats super awesome please let me know haha.

I also enjoy indie/folk and the odd pop song.

Scents - I love citrus and fresh scents, rose, jasmine and most sweet scents like vanilla/chocolate. I really can't stand cinnamon or other spices, and most floral scents are offputting to me. I collect Lush products, vintage and new, and love them a lot! My favourite bomb is avobath, bubble bar is brightside and shower gel dirty springwash (from the regular lines.....don't get me started on seasonals lol)

Flavours - I'm a sugar addict. I love chocolate, white is my favourite. Not a fan of dark. Hate liquorice. Allergic to coconut! Not a huge tea fan, but love coffee.

Colours - Green! Green is my favourite colour. Before I got cancer I had green hair of every shade. I love blues too, but more darker blues. Tartan is great, as is any and all glitter. I'm a fan of autumn and autumnal colours, it's my favourite season!

Activities - I love to work out (but I'm too sick rn) and I'm pretty outdoorsy. I love hiking and exploring nature, I'm a geocacher and hitchhiker. Camping is super fun and getting lost in new countries is awesome. I like tabletop games, especially weird card games, and I play old school runescape. Trying new foods is one of my favourite activies, I love eating out and tasting different cultures! My favourite cusine is proper Italian food, Italy is one of my favourite places to visit.

I LOVE colour and colouring. I have many collections of coloured pencils, pens etc and use these excessively. I also enjoy watercolour and acrylics. Because I mainly journal and scrapbook, I do a lot of cutting/pasting, drawing etc. I've done quite a bit of zentangle and find it pretty relaxing. I used to cross stitch but currently cant due to side effects. I like to knit but don't have great access to materials, same with bobbin lace. Mostly I like to try new things and be creative!

I love green tea of any kind!! I drink this the most. I dont like mint, liquorice, chamomile or black teas. I like most fruit teas but honestly anything you send will be drank by someone!

I prefer decaff coffee but I'll drink any. Coffee is so much nicer than tea ;)
