First things first: I click "Sent" when I dropped stuff in the postbox or at the postoffice. I rate as soon as I receive something. In case you don't receive my swap, please contact me. Thanks :)
I'm 32 years old and I had my first penpal when I was 12. People changed throughout the years, some were not interested in writing anymore, but I kept going on. Now it's time to find some new people to write to. This seems to be an exciting project, so I thought to give it a try.
My husband and I also share a Postcrossing account. That's so much fun too ðŸËâŹ
Besides writing and receiving letters and postcards I like reading, travelling and spending time with my little daughter Olivia (born April 2017). I also like nice stamps and donkeys.
I have an addiction to notebooks, journals and letter/writing-sets. Also stickers or nice pens are always welcomed.
I don't have a specific genre that I always go to. I decide mostly by my mood. Some examples of books I liked:
When I was younger I used to listen to Metal, but nowadays I enjoy more Rock/Pop music. Also there it goes mostly by my mood. And often I like just one or some songs by the same band/artist, so it's hard to say "That's my favorite band/music". Most concerts I visited were of a band called "Sunrise Avenue" . Followed by a band called "My first band". But also from those two there's many songs I don't like at all.
My mother tongue is German. I'm also fluent in English. There's some languages I'm learning/ I want to learn:
Finnish: My husband is from Finland and since his family speaks neither German nor English I try to learn Finnish. Try... Well, it's not that easy. In a conversation I can at least tell where one word ends and another begins. But I'm ok-ish in reading. It's a slow process...
Dutch: Started not too long ago to learn Dutch for no particular reason. It's way easier for me to learn, because there's many similarities to German and English. This brings faster success. A little helper when Finnish is too frustrating.
Japanese: One of the languages I want to learn someday. I would love to travel there someday and it's always helpful to know at least a few words.
Italian: Another language I want to learn someday. I spent many vacations in Italy when I was a kid, so I know some words already. I wouldn't be totally lost in a store and also in a restaurant I would survive, but nothing beyond that.
My favorite destination is Finland. I've been there about 20 times or so I guess and it's my second home.
Countries I've been to: Finland ; USA ; France ; Britain ; Italy ; Switzerland ; Czech Republic ; Hungary ; Austria ; Sweden ; Estonia
Countries I want to visit: Finland! ; Japan ; Russia ; Scotland ; Norway ; Iceland ; Denmark ; Canada ; in general I'm very curious about all countries around the world :)
Listing here some things I like in no particular order:
