I swing in and out of love with Swap Bot. If I sign up I'm reliable. Promise. I gave away my job back in March. I haven't used the R word, but I haven't had an offer that makes me want to get out of bed. Work, eh? I'm Malleechick on Postcrossing as well. I like to be creative. I enjoy working out how to do things and like to learn new things. I've been drawing and painting for a few years now and enjoy it. I like the idea of making cards and postcards with my art so that there is an audience for it. With the help of Dr Google and YouTube, I have recently learned about quilt blocks and am really enjoying making things again. I love camping and getting away from 'civilisation' and I love going to the big cities and losing myself in the crowds.

Hmm, that's a difficult question to answer. I like music that speaks to me. So I guess the first criteria is that I have to be able to understand the lyrics. (Makes me sound like an oldie, but I'm not really - I just appreciate both sound and voice.) I did a 2 hour show on community radio some years ago. It was called Fish Without Bicycles. It focused on women's voices and especially women who were not in the mainstream. I love blues and folk as well

I've been teaching myself to draw and paint for a few years and have finally joined a drawing class this year. I love it. My themes are usually to do with places that I have visited - and I do a lot of travelling in Australia. I have always been into sewing, I used to make all my own clothes and I started experimenting with machine embroidery but didn't develop that. I love the fashions of the 1950s and 1960s. Not the nostalgic rememberings of 60s fashion a la Austin Powers. But the earlier 60s stuff with class and style. I am really enjoying making cards and postcards.

I'm not a 'pink' girl. I'm not into cute stuff. I like bright, bold colours.

I like making cards and journals. I am just finding my feet with paper craft, so anything that will add to my collection of ideas will be welcome. You can send me pages from old books, old postcards, illustrations of fashion from the 1920s-1960s, cards that you have made (whatever size), or ideas for paper craft. I also like ephemera that I could use in my new found crafting. Tickets to shows or movies, airmail stickers, international mail customs declarations, art deco stuff. How much longer do I have here?

I don't like cutesy, girly, pink things, or cats or animals (although I might change my mind about frogs ...) I dont want to be sent tea or coffee or drink mixes or lollies (candy / sweets) or things with strong scents.
