I am an accountant by day and crafter on my own time (every other minute not sleeping!) I enjoy all kinds of crafts, but especially paper crafts. I prefer classical styles and colors, but have a soft spot for science fiction and purple. I don't really like Kawaii, or Disney, or anything pink, or with too-big eyes.

I love softer colors, vintage images and lacy prints, but really, I LOVE ANYTHING HANDMADE!! Really! Take a chance and make me something completely from scratch! I won't laugh, or rate you down, I promise. And I keep all handmade cards, so you can know they're going to a good home.

I recently started using Kindle Unlimited and BOY, does my neck hurt from reading too much! I read almost anything with not-too-much violence or sex. I love mysteries and science fiction. Recently I've enjoyed: Laurie R. King, Tyler Dilts, Hugh Howey, George Takei

I recently spent so many consecutive hours knitting that I developed De Quervain's tenosynovitis, so knitting is off the table for a while. I sew, embroider, paint, dye, stencil, crochet , draw, cut, fold on all manner of paper, fabric, plastic, wood and glass. I've made clothes, quilts, Amigorumi, handmade paper, journals, repurposed clothing, handbags and satchels; you name it, I've probably done it.

I'm enjoying ATCs because of the small size and I love the swaps because they usually limit the subject matter. Nothing more daunting than a huge, white, blank canvas. Except perhaps a blank page!

Firefly/Serenity-can you believe Fox killed Wash??? I will never get over that moment (technically a movie, I suppose)

Also, Enterprise, Once Upon A Time, Eureka, Dr. Who, Merlin, Elementary, Blue Bloods, Sherlock...

I will listen to any genre, as long as it is well done. My son has even got me to listen to some screamo!

Favorites include: Paul Simon, Sara Groves, Harry Connick Jr, Fernando Ortega, Mozart, Rosemary Clooney, almost any Old Time Gospel, Chet Baker, Mercy Me, Lionel Hampton, Natalie Merchant, Diana Krall, Crash Test Dummies, Selah, Placido Domingo; I really could go on for pages.

I have a music partner and we sing old time gospel music together and perform nearby. She has played mountain dulcimer for 20 years and I can hardly sing without her any more!!

I'll try anything, but it gets stopped the minute it gets too violent, or too sexual or badly conceived or poorly written or... I prefer science fiction along the lines of Star Gate or Star Wars (the jury is still out on Lucas-we'll see if VII redeems V and VI)
