CURRENTLY (May 3, 2012)

California girl drowning in Louisiana! I don't get out much, not that there's anything to do here ;) I've been cooking a LOT, sewing, knitting, playing in my beads, painting my nails, and folding a lot of origami. We've been making beer & wine (and drinking it ;), and BBQing a lot.

Personally...

I'm a little punk rock, and a little Martha Stewart. I'm married to an Army soldier, 5 years this July! :) It seems I'm always in the car; I love to drive! I have a very twisted sense of humor; it is near-impossible to offend me (nudity/profanity is okay). I have guns, and enjoy recreational shooting. My desk is only for art & crafts; I love the freedom my laptop offers me. I bake a lot, for fun, and I cook a lot, in general.

Favorite Crafts

Nail art: I paint my nails daily (sometimes twice). I would loooove a nail stamping kit! I'm just starting to collect things like paint brushes, rhinestones, and other nail decorating stuffs.

I like to bake, and cook in general, and I am good at it; I make a lot of bread and cookies, and I love casseroles because I hate doing dishes! I send a lot of baked goods to my friends back home. I sometimes take appetizers into bars/restaurants where my friends work, and almost always get requests to cook for the place =S I am seriously considering going to culinary school right now.

I have been sewing since I was 4 years old. I make a lot of clothes and toys for my kids, and a LOT of purses/bags/totes.

I would love to get into needlefelting, but I don't have the $$ for it at the moment. Maybe next year! ;)

I make: Amigurumi; Softies; Jewelry; Purses & bags; Clothing; Hair barrettes & boutique bows; Felty pins; ATCs; Drawings; Paintings (acrylic & watercolor); T-Shirt reconstructions; Crochet; Collage; Hand embroidery; Hand-carved Rubber stamps; Origami; Inchies; Greeting cards; Zentangles, Pincushions; Drawings

I use: Origami paper; Buttons; Wire; Wool Felt; Quilting Cottons (FQs are my friend!); Jersey and Interlock; Beads; Sterling Silver; Ribbon; Fibers; Lace; Yarn; Cardstock; Vellum; Pilot Pens, Gel Pens, & Sharpies; Flower-head Pins; Embroidery Floss; Needles; Erasers, and eraser carving material; Stickers; Xacto knives

Adore

.SKULLS. .GIRAFFES. .POLKA DOTS. .CHERRY RIPES. .STARS. .OCTOPI. **

Fave Colors: *Green *Turquoise *purple/grey *pink/brown *aqua/charcoal *pink/green *red/aqua *green/white

:]Happy-makers[: Scented candles (esp. spicy, and/or fruit scents); Stars & planets (my favorite is Jupiter); Post-Its; Gargoyles & dragons; Yarn; Aprons; Kitchen gadgets; Zombies & skeletons, Anatomically correct organs; Bandanas (I wear on my head), and big, bold Hair pins/clips; Oregon Ducks

Food: Avocados, dark chocolate; Myers lemons; smoked meats & cheeses; seafood; Gummy and/or Sour candies; Cocktails, and new cocktail recipes; Cooking, & new recipes (especially "secret" family recipes/family favorites); BBQ (we bbq about 3-4 times a week); Fruits, and images of them; Wine

Interests: Rockabilly/Punk/Tattoo styles; Classic cars; Military & firearms History (I especially like American Civil War history); Images of Pistols/Revolvers;Video games (PC, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, Wii...I play them all. A lot.)

Deplore

Pastels, excepting pink; Gold, neon (this, of course, does not apply to collage-materials)

Bath bombs & confetti (salts and bubbles are okay!)

Disney (Alice in Wonderland is awesome, though!)

Overly cutesy country-style items

I'm allergic to walnuts and pecans; milk chocolate, white chocolate; fake sugars, such as Splenda, aspartame, etc; summer squash; sun-dried tomatoes, capers; artichockes (incl the hearts...I know, I'm crazy)

My Minions

I have two children, both born in March. My son is 12, and my daughter is 10.

Isaac likes: *colours green, grey, and red *building *robots *outer space *science *Legos *aircraft *paper airplanes *rubberband balls anything he can build

Ashley likes: *the colours black, and red *reading (She's made it through the Twilight series already, as an example of her reading level) *stuffed animals *WOLVES (big time!) *Vampires, werewolves, dragons *painting *Ke$ha, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift

I also share my house with three kitties (Stormy, Halo, and Voodoo), and two snuggly pups, Johnny, and Walker. Johnny is a 70lb Golden Retriever/Yellow Lab, and Walker is a retarded short-coated Border Collie. Walker's first home was very mean to him - he is quite brain damaged, and afraid of just about everything, but still (obnoxiously) affectionate, lol.

Gimme Gimme (Wishlist)

*Origami paper (I'm working on filling a HUGE bottle with Lucky Stars. The 700 stars in there now just cover the bottom of the bottle!)

*Cording (to make piping out of, and for tying my Celtic knots)

*Grosgrain ribbon

*Recipes...to cook! :))

*Felt (wool or acrylic...REALLY want to get my hands on some white white wool!)

*Yarn, all kinds/colors, partial skeins okay!

*Table linens & stuffs (placemats, napkins, etc)- last month, I got my very first dining table/chairs. Seriously. I didn't even have one when I was a kid! My table is dark wood, and the chairs are upholstered in moss green.

*International postage stamps (used are great!)

*Playing cards with neat designs, or artwork (either on the front or back) - basically non-standard playing cards =]

*Alice in Wonderland (especially vintage. but I am also fine with the Disney Alice, too. Trying to remake my bedroom in Alice theme)

*Handmade or altered recipe cards

*Apron (not too frilly, though ;)

*Cute/pretty dishtowels (my kitchen is Fiestaware, bright colours!)

*Pot-holders (I set mine on fire...accidentally, of course -_-)

*Chopsticks

*Twinkling H2Os, or other shimmery/sparkly watercolors

*Beads with cultural or historical significance (repro's ok). I have been collecting beads from around the world for 15+ years.

*Shot Glasses (especially destinations; states, cities, countries). I have a very large collection, but it'll never be large enough!

*Postcards (ONLY destinations; states, cities, countries, landmarks). I have been collecting these for 15+yrs.

*Funky, statement, &/or offensive Pins (I pin them to my purses, & suspenders; rarely my clothing)
