50 something. 2 sons in college. ( actually the younger just began his internship at a newspaper and the older is in graduate school.husband and older son -artists. creative time is essential to my life-keeps away those "blue bitchies" . we collect everything!!! love vintage images,20s and 30s,paris ,chinese!!"french" postcards(those lovely nude ones!)i love halloween!!!!!!!!!!! don't care for cutesy-esp. japanese cartoony stuff. I LOVE anything dennison( holiday stickers. mailing tags. embossed stars atc. I am thrilled that i have been "published" in Somerset Studio Gallery " winter 2009 (P.101) and in Somerset Holidays and celebrations"2009 (p.100 and also p. 99,that's one of my atcs peaking out of Cassandra's fabulous "Scary ATC BOOK) I love all of Somerset's publications, it is amazing to me that one company has so many incredible magazines!

six feet under,the closer, tony bourdains "no reservations", most anything on food network(not a bobby flay fan, though) create tv,history channel. i do watch a bit of tv ,but i think it gets a bad rap a lot, through tv i have been able to"travel" to places i might not otherwise visit, meet people i would never have met!

We love estate and garage sales! go most weeks, though i spend very little. i love the idea of continuing the life of something someone once loved, but maybe there is no one that cares for it anymore.

when people ask what we collect i say "YES"

here is the short! list vintage and antique holiday (esp.halloween christmas and easter I love silver, not just sterling( keep your diamonds and gold-i love the glow of a well loved fork or vanity piece or curiosity. vintage sewing supplies-measuring tapes. neat scissors,ricrac,trims old patterns anything . OLD books-esp. childrens. bird and animal guide and cookbooks BUTTONS, i love bttons, esp. pearl and rhinestone ones and oh yes pinafore buttons. havr collected buttons since i was tiny and have many beautiful ones.

Ephemera- ALL kinds, as i said above i love Dennison; recipe booklets, old craft guides. postcards, photos, travel brochures. i love to use these in my art projects, but i rarely use the original( usually copies) many of these items are rare and i hate to alter what never may be found again. i love the glimpses all these papers provide into times and ways that are no longer!
