Hey I'm Courtney! I'm married, and from Michigan. We have two cats (Stella and Mr.Man) and a little dog (Sydney). I like to read, write, spend time outdoors (hiking, camping, anything!), but my true love is gardening! And teas 😊

I keep both a journal and a planner (they keep me glued together!). And I love to write letters to my pen pals!

2/4/15: Changed my name! (From Loudermilk to Boulan)

2/21/15: lost our beloved cat, (Fish) to sudden cardiac failure. Swaps will be on time, but I'm really feeling it.

I dabble in a little bit of everything, but mainly do some doodling (especially horses), some scrapbooking, some painting (acrylics), and I've been trying a little sculpting too. Letters should count as a craft too! And recently have been trying my hand at book binding (for making notebooks and journals).

I like patterned or textured papers, have an unhealthy obsession with notebooks, love decorative tapes (washi, deco, fabric), and stickers!

Currently making: Hand doodled stickers and hand stitched notebooks!

I don't watch a lot of tv (we got rid of it when we moved into our house), but I like game of thrones, marvels agents of shield, survivor man, walking dead, and animal shows (really any kind!). I'm huge into documentaries! I love learning new things!

Michael Crichton, Stephen king, anything fantasy/scifi, and some history/nonfiction. I'm willing to give any book a try!

DONE: Gone Girl

Like I said, it's my favorite, so I'm going to talk your ears off about it. I love growing plants, from flowers to veggies to fruits! This year I've decided to focus on food, because between money and time, I don't have enough for flowers too. But that doesn't mean it won't still be beautiful! My challenge this year is shade! Our house is all part shade to full shade, so I'm learning how to make that work 😊

2/7/15: started some pitcher plant seeds! After 2 months of stratification, well see how they grow! 2/8/15: growing salad greens (lettuce and spinach) indoors.

I can be a bit of a picky eater sometimes, but ill try anything once. Cheese is probably my all time favorite thing ever lol. I love trying new recipes and cooking for others, even if I don't eat it! Crunchy veggies are great, but so is candy ;)

Current faves: green tea cookies! Orange chicken! Cucumbers!

for bird themed stuff: I love ducks! I've had muscovies, and khaki mixes. Not so into the cartoon-y owls, but even those can be cute. But I'm a pretty big fan of all our local MI birds! Really anything would make me happy.

I finally broke down and got myself a "real" planner! It's the Happy Planner (by mambi)!

My journals are just a series of small/medium book bound notebooks.
