Hi there! I'm Kayla. I'm a Jersey girl but work in a theatre in New York City. I have a dog who I adore more than almost anything. I'm a Pisces.

I absolutely love Disney (movies, music and the parks!), Harry Potter, Christmas, the Peanuts (Snoopy, etc) and animals (especially dogs). In terms of Disney, my fave characters are: Mickey & Minnie, anything Robin Hood, Aurora, Ursula and Maleficent. Favorite park attractions are: Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise, People Mover and Peter Pan's Flight... though Epcot is my fave park. I'm a Hufflepuff.

Some of my hobbies include gardening, knitting, going to theatre & concerts, antique/ vintage shop exploring, interior decorating and trying to do all the seasonal things possible. I am trying to get more into cooking though rarely have time for much with work. I love a craft fair and have a mild Home Goods addiction.

I'm pagan (Celtic based, though pretty eclectic) and very connected to nature - specifically the sea, woods and crystals. I enjoy working with herbs and oils, as well as in the kitchen. I dabble in tarot and have several decks, though am most connected with my goddess deck that I've had since I was 12.

Making and giving gifts to people is one of my absolute favorite things.

My favorite colors are purple, blue (more ocean tones than royal blue), sage, gray and soft pinks.

I'm vegetarian. :)

My favorite artists are Ingrid Michaelson, Brandi Carlile, Green River Ordinance, Motion City Soundtrack, Zac Brown Band and pretty much anything Andrew McMahon (Something Corporate, Jack's Mannequin, Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness).

In terms of genre, I enjoy classic rock, pop punk/ pop rock, some country, indie and folk.

I also love musicals. My favorites are Passing Strange, Les Miserables, Hedwig and the Angry Inch and Once on this Island.

I also listen to a ton of podcasts - mostly true crime. My favorites are My Favorite Murder (ssdgm), Up & Vanished, Missing & Murdered, Someone Knows Something and Real Crime Profile. For a lighter topic, I like Harry Potter & the Sacred Text.

I'm definitely more of a TV person than a movie person.

My favorites are: Veronica Mars, Criminal Minds, Law & Order: SVU, the Chicago series (Fire, PD, Med), One Tree Hill, Jane the Virgin, Grey's Anatomy, Freaks & Geeks, Pit Bulls & Parolees and Supernatural.

I also love HGTV shows, specifically Fixer Upper, Property Brothers and Rehab Addict. Also Mr. Kate on youtube.

There are several more shows that I regularly watch, but those are definitely the tops!

I'm not a big movie buff, but I do have my stand-bys.

My #1 by far is The Princess Bride.

My go-to sick movie (you know... the one you watch when you're sick and you need to be comforted) is The Sound of Music. I adore Julie Andrews.

Favorites: Harry Potter series, Jodi Picoult (favorites were Nineteen Minutes and Leaving Time), Gillian Flynn (fave was Dark Places) and Rainbow Rowell (faves were Attachments, Fangirl and Eleanor & Park), Celeste Ng (Everything I Never Told You).

My style is vintage, shabby chic, nautical, eclectic.

For recipe swaps, I prefer the recipes to be 4x6 whenever possible, as that is the size that fits in my recipe box. :)

I tend to prefer floral, oceanic and citrus scents. Though I also like spicy/ holiday ones. I'm not a fan of sweet, vanilla or musk scents.

Some of my totem animals are a gazelle, stag, lioness, dolphin and kangaroo.

Not interested in: animal fur (real or faux), religious items, horror related things, coffee.
