I have 4 children but only the youngest two are living with me now. I was a stay-at-home mom mom for 5-1/2 years, four of those were spent homeschooling. I have a BS in Education and a MA in Teaching & Learning. I recently went back to school to pursue another degree in Nonprofit Developement & Administration. In my free time, I enjoy reading. I love to travel though I don't get to do it as much as I'd like. I've recently become obsessed with sudoku...lol.

I actually enjoy a lot of older children's/young adult books...Hunger Games series, Gregor the Overlander (both by Suzanne Collins), Among the hidden series (Margaret Haddix), the Twilight Series (Stephenie Myers), Harry Potter. I love Walter Mosley, E. Lynn Harris, & Patricia Cornwell (Scarpetta series). Mysteries are my favorite genre. I don't like a lot of sci-fi, but I love Octavia Butler.

I enjoy dramas and suspense thrillers. I LOVE old black and white film noir movies like The Maltese Falcon and Mildred Pierce. My all-time favorite movies are 50 First Dates and Green Card. A Christmas Story is a must-see every holiday season. Recent movies I've really liked...The Rite, Mr. Popper's Penguins, Rio, Secret Life of Bees,

House, Law & Order, Falling Skies, Haven, Project Runway, The Amazing Race, The Closer, Decoded, Chopped, Cupcake Wars, Top Chef, Warehouse 13, Eureka

My all-time favorite TV show was Soap.

I love handmade jewelry and soaps (I do not like the scent of vanilla).

I learned about ATCs after joining swap-bot and have been enjoying making and swapping cards. I would really like to learn to crochet. Art supplies, yarn, and crochet needles - even if its just leftovers from your own stash that I can use to practice with - would be greatly appreciated.

Aprons, socks of all kinds, homemade soaps, lions, bookmarks, headbands & hair accessories, cookbooks, sudoku, word search puzzles, homemade toiletries (soaps, lotions, bath fizzies), lip gloss, handmade jewelry (my ears are not pierced), journals...pretty much anything unigue and out-of-the norm.

I have 4 children...

Ayana is 19 and away at college. Her favorite color is green. She LOVES socks...any kind. The more colorful and unusual the better. She crochets and plays the flute, so she's always looking for yarn and new sheet music. She also prefers to hand-write letters and loves unique stationary. She LOVES LOVES LOVES anything Spongebob and wants to try her hand at sumdoku (loose sheets with answers are fine.)

Andrell is 16 and he is my sports fanatic. He plays basketball and football. His favorite color is blue. He is also my artist. Any art supplies (colored pencils, paper, charcoals, paint, paintbrushes, etc.) are greatly appreciated. Anything sports related would be welcome as well.

Anitra is 12 and she is my little actress. She has done a commercial and is active in local theater. Her favorite color is purple. She likes make-up, perfume, socks, hair accessories, cookbooks (or even individual recipes that she can make by herself). She REALLY dislikes pink. LOVES anything about ancient civilizations, particularly Greece). She wants to be an anthropologist and an actress when she grows up. She loves Glee, iCarly, Wizards of Waverly Place, and Phineas & Ferb.

Jeffrey (Tre') is 10. His favorite color is green. He is very laid back and can find a use for just about anything. He's not picky at all. He loves to cook and can watch Food Network all day long. He loves science and learning about ancient civilizations. Like his sister, ancient Greece and mythology are favorites.

All four of them are avid readers.

J likes cigars, so cigar accessories are always welcome (cutters, ashtrays, etc.). He likes to drink his sodas using can cozeys (those little insulated things that are unsually given away as promotional items), but is always losing them...lol. He likes to read more than one book at a time, so bookmarks are appreciated. His favorite movie/tv/book genres are sci-fi and history. He can watch the History and Syfy channel all day long...Ancient Aliens is a favorite. :-) He plays keyboard in his band and loves all kinds of music but especially neo-soul. Favorite teams: Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Additional likes: pens, mechanical pencils, any quirky items, likes to see other people's ATCs even though he doesn't make them...lol.
