Hello!

I'm Sara and I love sending things even more than I love getting things in my mailbox. I have penpals from all over the world and I am an avid lover of postcrossing. Snail mail is a big hobby of mine and I'm so happy I found swap-bot!

I live in the south of Sweden and I attend one of my country's oldest universities (it was founded 1666, the same year as the Great Fire of London!) I am studying English, literature and history, and I hope to eventually find work in the publishing industry or as a translator. I also try and write myself, either queer fiction or children's literature or a combination.

My girlfriend lives in the States so we have a very-long-distance relationship, which really can suck sometimes, but she is worth everything.

I am queer and a feminist and very passionate about those things, but I am also very enthusiastic about TV shows like Elementary, Teen Wolf, Doctor Who and Supernatural. I love to cosplay (like in my avatar picture where I'm dressed as Enjolras from Les Miserables, another hobby.) I am all about books, reading and languages. I am also studying history this semester, something I am falling more in love with. I believe that Enjolras and Grantaire dies holding hands.

I am mostly on swap-bot to increase my postcard collection. I have a postcrossing account with the same username (Grantaire) and I'd love to do a private postcard swap with you there.

I would love it if you can send a postcard to me unwritten and in an envelope. I love cheesy touristcards, but prefer no multiviews. I also love mapcards from different US states or other countries/provinces.

My favourite books so far has been "Neverending story", "The Book Thief" and "The Art of Racing in the Rain". They all made me cry and feel deeply for the characters, which is what I look for in a book.

It is somewhat of my personal quest to tell people about "The Art of Racing in the Rain" because it's not very well known, but it is such a fantastic book!

Usually I read young adult or classic books, but I also have a tendency to walk around bookstores (especially at airports for some reason) and look at the covers of books until I find something that catches my eye! That is how I found "The Art of Racing in the Rain" and I am so thankful that I was vain enough to judge a book by its cover.

I have always been a big fan of TV shows but whih ones I like change with the years. I used to love Supernatural, Doctor Who and BBC Sherlock, but lately I've lost interest and Elementary, Hannibal and Game of Thrones has take over instead, with a hint of Teen Wolf.

I like fandom 'knick knacks', especially from the fandoms listed as my favourite television shows.

I have a few penpals so stationary, especially A4 lined paper with nice envelopes are well-loved. I love finding cute stationary, but it's really, really hard to find in Sweden and I go through a lot every month with my penpals.

I love the small kind of soap/lotion bottles (if they are nice. Nothing stolen from your motel room. Think The Bodyshop kind more.) I also like face-masks and other things for body care.

I am in a long-distance relationship and I'd love ideas or gifts to help and ease that.

Recently I'm trying to work my way through some Marvel comics. I love the Marvel Now! Deadpool, Young Avengers, Hawkeye and New Avengers. I would love any issues from these, and especially any collections from Civil War (I have the main storyline).

I am allergic to nuts so please don't send anything with nuts. This includes peanuts! I am fine with almonds, but I don't really like it unless it's marzipan. On the other hand, I love marzipan.

I don't wear makeup at all.

I don't wear a lot of jewellery and what I do wear was given to me by very important people in my life, so please don't send any jewellery. The possible exception is if you found a perfect set of earrings for me, but then make sure they are nickel-free.

I'm not a big fan of Hello Kitty. I am also not very interested in overly 'cutesy' stuff, unless it's stationary. :)

I mostly drink black and oolong, but I also like herbal, rooibos, white, and pu-erh! My favorites are things that brew up strong.

Honestly, as long as it's not on the do-not-send list below, I'd love to try it! New and interesting teas are always welcome. I love loose leaf tea, but I realize that it's not always possible for you to send that.

Please don't send me teas with: orange, jasmine, really spicy flavors like chili, green tea, or nuts.

As far as snacks go, I love almost everything! I am especially fond of marzipan, sour candies and different flavors of Willy Wonka's Nerds. They just started selling them in Sweden, but with very limited flavours. I love sour gummy candies and hard candies and I'd love to try something from your country!

I don't really like chocolate (unless with marzipan), mint, granola, or coffee.

I always send on time and I try to send it as early as possible. I know that Swedish mail can take some time, especially to China, Easter Europe and Russia. If you don't receive my swap in a timely manner, please send me a message before you rate me poorly. If I marked the swap as sent and you haven't gotten it, it has been lost in the mail. I will be more than happy to send you a new swap as long as you shoot me a message!
