I am an RN a wife and mom of three( one girl and two boys all grown). I live in Southern California but am from Montana.

I like to knit and sew, I am fond of fabric squares and strips and little projects, like aprons purses and tote bags.

I scrap book on occasion, but I don't like little pieces of scrap booking stuff floating all over the house:)

I like to knit a bit of everything, I like color work hats, scarves are not my favorite unless they are a bit challenging. I am a bit of a yarn snob. I prefer natural fibers, cotton, wool, silk, quiviut( just dreaming) stitch markers are always a bonus!

yarn left overs are great but natural fibers, not acrylic please. I primarily use colors found in nature but so far have been able to find a use for almost anything

fabric scraps are always great, I like pretty much all colors. I use cotton so no polyester please. I am not super fond of overly cutesy ie kawaii or Disney things...though slightly girly is fine for quilting. I don't like cartoon characters either, betty boop etc

In general I am not into girly cutesy things. I decorate cakes so cute animated cakes and cup cakes would be ok on fabric

I love to read, I have three bookshelves overflowing with books. Romance, Sci-Fi,Period Books. Suspence/Spy thrillers and I have a HUGE affinity for collecting old Barbara Cartland books. I do NOT like Nicholas Sparks or cheesey romance along those lines. (Other than the Barbara Cartland)

I don't have a lot of time for TV but I have been watching Glee, Chuck or Eureka if I have time, we mostly use netflix, for our TV/Movie needs. I have an enormous video library, I like a little bit of everything except Gory

I hate country music with a burning passion. I mostly listen to Blues, Jazz, Rock, Bossa Nova and Alternative. I am not that fond of World or new age.

I love all kinds of patterns, I love receiving scarfs and afghans but I don't like knitting them. I like toy patterns, baby and adult sweater patterns and almost anything else.

I decorate cakes for fun, I was a wilton instructor. I do make cakes for family and friends, I love getting fun cake items funky cupcake papers, sprinkles and the like.
