HELLO to all my SB friends! I am Darcilena Deanne but many know me by Arty Darss on Flickr!! I have been here 13 years come August! Wow, how time flew by! I really enjoy meeting new people and swapping things all over the world! Sadly since Covid sending very few swaps overseas now.

I'm very eager to swap with those Swappers that put "time" and "effort" in their work. Effort and care in ones "ART" is really key. I like to create Art that inspires others to "Think Outside the Box!" If you feel I have not sent a "Fab Swap" then please e-mail me and I will make it right. I always try to earn a Heart and do my absolute BEST work, sometimes life just gets in the way or I am under the weather bc of fatigue and ptsd from my previous jobs and it just isn't the "Best Art week" so just let me know b/c I have no problems re-sending.

I especially "LOVE" setting up and doing Private swaps and have many swappy pals on Swap bot now and ADORE them all!. Lately, I find myself going back to my old loves and one would surely be Collage Art and Distressing! My constant loves are Paris/Vintage, Shabby Chic, Steampunk and Somerset Style! Tim Holtz surely sparked a "New Desire" in me the last few years to create outside the Box! (and I love that)

I started doing hand~made cards years ago and have taught tons of various paper art classes over the last 10 years to adults,children and teens. 20 years ago took up time with Scrapbooking and some ATC's. However, I have given up on the scrapbooking (since Dec/10) since finding SBot. There are just not enough hours in a day to do ALL the paper crafts I love! LOL!

I now spend "Hours" creating & trading my ATC's, Altered ART, Journal pages and Tags! I just learned about & love making Ink Box cards! (3x3's)
I work hard to give you my A+ work ~ Always.

I'm hoping my newest group then "You tube" inspired swaps will help me learn how to use a gelli pad and make cool resin jewelry. And a few fairy gardens & mushrooms.

I am a mom of 2 almost at 20 now. Both graduated during Covid so it was a hard time.

I have been on leave from my job as A crisis worker (for a few years now). I would def be doing much more Art if fatigue, Ptsd & back injuries etc didn't take up most of my hours. I look forward to any & all trades in the future. Covid has also stopped me from lots of US trades BC mail has been so hit & miss the last few years. Stay safe out there & healthy my Arty peeps.💕

Anyhoo... LOVE hand made paper, dry embossed, stamped and Glossy accents! Love Art techniques with foil! I love these themes: Nature, Cherry blossoms, Spring, Vintage, Asian, Paris. Butterflies & Dragonflies! My new love fairies! 💕 Collecting Lavinia stamps now!!

I guess I'm a "Bling Girl" all the way but done in "good" taste. Not Stickles globbed all over or Mondo rhinestones! LOL! I love the old Vintage PC's, Clocks & anything whimsical. Also love mushrooms and vines. I love Vintage portraits like Ophelia etc. and I guess I love Rosetti, too!!

I love papers such as cork, flocked, stitched, embossed etc. animal textures. I love Flourished & botanical designs too!

COLORS: I love Jewel colors, basically RICH colors like garnet, amethyst, copper. I love neutral/earthy colors, white and burnt orange. I love so, so many colors just not primary ones. And esp colors of the Ocean, teal, deep blue and def purples & blues mixed. Love underwater creatures and anything beach inspired, shells etc esp more since we lived on Van Island for 9 years.

Things "I DO NOT LIKE": "CLOWNS/Gnomes" of any kind! religious themed (tho I like uplifting scriptures), Don't Do DARK themes or dark fairies! Anything eerie or creepy, like insects, scorpions. No kidsy cartoon characters, NO KWAI or Reward stickers. Don't care for bright colors like (Kelly Green), pastels or NEONS! Don't like Primary colors so much. Exceptions would be red on Asian art work. Hope that helps a little in your choices. I look so forward to Swapping with you ALL!

Sadly I can't "ALWAYS" send out my swaps on time, as my fatigue has a mind if its own but I try my best these days. Also since Covid some mail to the US is taking up to 5 weeks or more to arrive. Getting better lately. US mail takes roughly 2.5 weeks from here.
