I live in central Missouri and work as a special education process coordinator for a school district. I have a wonderful retired husband and hope to also retire in the next two years. We have one daughter. We love to travel and enjoy the beach, shelling and fishing.

Crafting is my passion (not crazy about the word crafter), I look at everyone's work and think "artist" is a better word. I enjoy watercolors, sewing, jewelry making, reading and gardening.

I can spend hours on Esty shopping/looking. Now I am trying to figure out the ins and outs of ATC how to do and send the cards etc.

I am new to ATC's, but have enjoyed the 10 or so I have made and would like to join a swap. Any tips or pointers on mailing would be helpful. I put the two I mailed in a baseball card protector and sent them yesterday and hope all goes well. I do collages with watercolor backgrounds and magizine clipped pictures and finish with several coats of mod podge.

I enjoy using a variety of washi type papers and love the oriental look. The search for just the right picture or item is half the fun. Any tips will be appreciated.

I enjoy making my ACT's around the following themes: fairies, dragons, oriental, whimsical, flowers, vintage papers and pictures and animals.

I enjoy all types of music from New Age, Oldies, Classic and Country. My daughter is a DJ with a Country station so anything goes.

Reading books and magazines is one of my addictions. I like to use the public library and buy used book. I will read almost anything except scary and darl science fiction. Love a good romance, mystery, and dog/animal books, The following are just a few of my favorite authors:Janet Evanoviich, J.D. Robb, Nora Roberts, James Patterson, Jodi Picoult, Sue Monk Kidd to name a few. I use an address book to keep track of the authors and titles; all the covers seem to look alike after a while.

My favorite magazines are Country Living, O, and Martha Stewart Living.

I do not like Horror or Blood Gore, Scary Movies. Like comedies, musicals, love stories, mysteries, Twilight and Potter, animal, and action movies.

I like the Big Bang, Survivor, HGTV, Clean House, Dog Whisper, Iron Chef, Martha S., Idol, and garden shows.

I like to try and experiment with all kinds of crafts. I can knit (not enough to make anthing) and crochet. Currently crocheting a shopping bag from plastic bag. I enjoy recycling old wool sweaters, bead work, and making ATC's. I am also learning to paint with watercolors. I enjoy using old fabrics, paper, and unusual item in my colleges. I love to collect shells and use them in my crafts. I would like to take a class in weaving and spinning. When I retire I have a list of things I would like to try. I can't seem to stick to one thing. Swap-bot has opened a world of new crafting. My next project will be button fairies and Dotee dolls.

I do not have any food allergies and love tea and coffee, but am totally decafed.
