I'm forty something years old, a wife to a wonderful husband and mum to gorgeous girls (17 and 13). I'd like to think I'm a creative soul although truth be told, it's years since I've picked up a paint brush or got lost in the making of something special.

I like to stay connected to the earth and living truthfully is important to me. I've been on somewhat of a spiritual journey for a number of years and I like where it is taking me. I've so many questions about 'life' and I'm enjoying the journey of discovery such questions invoke.

Amongst my loves are books, old tins and boxes, stationary, all things earthy, a challenge, strong composition, hand made soap, hand creams, cooking and the smell of apples cooking on the stove, rummaging, objects that have a history, candles, incense, personal stories, collecting, Japanese paper and all things old.

Things I'm not into - rap music, watching sport, going out to clubs and pubs, fluro colours, make up and cosmetics and I don't drink tea of coffee.

I love music and from a lot of different styles ... but if I had to name one genre it would probably be folk or acoustic music, something that is gentle and sung with soul.

I don't like modern pop/rap music, country and western or opera. Those three don't appeal.

If you had asked me this question 10 years ago I would say I like many of the Australian movies such as "The Castle" and "Crackerjack". I also love movies that take you to another place like Star Wars and Harry Potter. But these days I find picking good films a little tricky and a bit of pot luck. My love for movies is a bit random.

My background is in art more than craft, but of the crafts I enjoy knitting but I'm not very good at it. I envy those that can sew and whip up a skirt or outfit without thinking... I'm thinking about knitting some socks.

I love to draw and I also like create things using found objects.
