I like: gardens, paper, buttons, vintage everything, kitsch, sunny days, used book stores, libraries, coffee, mermaids,stickers dictionaries, film, graphic novels, fairy tales, pink, black, girls with guitars, japanese pop culture, kelly link, toast and tea, kitties, itsy animals, balconies, greece, cindy sherman, miranda july, cherry blossoms, sofia coppola, tights, knee socks, bare feet, polenta, hummus, daydreams, doodles, swimming pools, sweet potatoes & YOU!

By day I'm lost in the stacks of the college library where I'm (hooray!) employed full-time; by night(s) and weekend(s) I'm submerged in a world of vintage accoutrements and Japanese paper, aka: Sakura Kitty Creatives.

My vintage jewelry and accessory (re)constructions began in college whilst mastering the art of paper writing procrastination. The Japanese and vintage paper collecting (see my buttons & magnets) got way out of hand during a year abroad studying writing at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, England. I wrote a ton of letters. When I returned stateside and was surrounded once again by all of the people I love, I had to find something new to do with all of that paper!

Here's a little list of my likes and dislikes in the swapping world. I love kawaii. I don't like Disney. I'm a vegetarian - candy cannot have milk, gelatin or egg whites in the mix. My favorite animals: foxes, birds,kitties, chipmunks,deer and hedgehogs. I love polkadots. I love retro. I love vintage. I love stickers (not teacher reward cheapy looking stuff, though). I love ephemera. I don't like country mom looking stuff (baskets,roosters- that sort of homestyle cookin' look) tea: I love tea that tastes good with milk (soy) - black teas & chai tea = yum.
