I've been away from swapping for a year. Not because I wanted to be but because my son passed away and my life has been broken. At the time I left (December 21st) I had several swaps needing to be mailed and several that had not started yet. All I can say is that I hope each of you can forgive me. I had a 5.0 rating and hope that I can repair that and make it up to those involved. Because it really is hurtful when I read a few of the 1 ratings. But I can understand why you'd be frustrated.

I really wish you'd write Mugsie and ask her what kind of person I am because she would not lie and she probably knows me best or China Cat. And I welcome you to write them as I try to restore my rating.

To those who were Angel's on my behalf, thank you from the bottom of my heart. It meant the world to me.

I am a proud United States Navy Veteran. I wore the uniform proudly and enjoyed my time of service. I saw many places and met many people and enjoyed being a part of one very huge family of military members. I've been married to my husband David for 30 years. My sons are Bryon( deceased) and Brett 34.

Love 60's & 70's rock and roll, blues, new age, and most anything actually. My son Brett always tells us we grew up in the best if all times for music! I think he's right!

I love all kinds of music because I'm usually in a different mood each time I listen. I especially like cd's I can play while doing massage. So they have to be very calming and peaceful but not depressing. I love strings and piano music. But when I want to rock out, I love 70's rock n' roll to Stevie Ray Vaughn, Journey (I saw Steve Perry up close and personal in Mobile, Alabama while I was in the US Navy), Heart, Bob Seger, Fleetwood Mac, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, B.B. King, Beatles, Elvis etc. When I was a kid, I had a full set of Beatles and Elvis cards. Still have them! Variety is the spice of life they tell me!

I have an entire collection of Art books from Jewelry Making to Quilting and Sewing! I love altered art books, how to's etc. I read every Belle Amour Mag I can find, Stampington, Where Women Create, Altered Couture, Their Sewing one as well, The Jewelry and Green Crafting ones, Handmade etc. Anything and everything through Stampington. I can't get enough! I love the back issues as well so if you have some you want to get rid of, I'd love to trade something to you, even jewelry I make, I don't care!

Movies you say? Well let's see theres Forest Gump, Legend of the Falls, Man From Snowy River I & II, Slingblade, MIracle on 34th Street, It's a Wonderful LIfe, All Shirley Temple Movies, Peter Pan, Dirty Dancing (I used to could move like that), Wizard of Oz, Caddy Shack, Kingdom of Heaven, and Pretty Woman of course It's one of my all time favorites. ! Especially the part when she goes back into the store that refused to wait on her because of the way she looked! That's one of my pet peeves in life, people who judge people based on the way they look....too bad some people do that. Top Gun, Scent of a Woman (Pacino is still my man!) I like love stories and chic flics as my husband calls them. Annie, hum, why can't I think when I need to? OH, Oh, anything Johnny Depp of course. Who wouldn't love that man? Not much on blood and gore! I like to watch movies, but don't get the remote often!

Love HGTV shows, anything home decorating, home building (especially green building), anything home selling, as well as a lot of the crafting shows. However, most of the time it's not up to me what we watch (I have a husband you know!).

My favorite crafts - sewing, quilting, silversmithing, jewelry making, drawing, making old vintage items into new things. I love taking old broken stuff and making it into something new and unique. My silversmithing is something I enjoy very much. I've been doing it about 15 years now and my designs are very unique and one of a kind.
FAVORITE COLORS: i like all colors pretty much except burgandy. nothing wrong with it, it's just not me! i love combo's of pink/brown, black/white, red/black, red/jadeite green or mint green, turquoise/brown, hot pink/orange, yellow/white, aubergine and of course all these as solids. i love floral fabrics a lot but i'm really finding that i love vintage repro fabric prints and the real thing vintage cloth, flour saks etc. i love batiks especially in blues and greens. i love bright cheery prints, NO plaids please, NO burgandy please...However, i'm just pretty happy go lucky and pretty easy to please with anything handmade. i love handmade...i love upholstery prints and i love upholstery sample books to use

My little slice of heaven as I call it is my patio where I garden in pots and vintage containers to keep my little furry friends out (deer and rabbits). I love Spring. I love planting flowers, herbs, vegetables, etc to eat and make things from. I love lavender, so I grow it and then make stuff from it. I use a lot of herbs in my cooking, so any seeds are especially loved. I love flowers, I have hummingbirds and butterflies so anything that attracts them is great. I have a Wire Fox Terrier "Annie" that keeps me busy and entertained while I work in my plants. I enjoy listening to my wind chimes and I make them from copper and old utensils. I like little crystals, etc. on the patio too! I like to place little surprises like that in my plant pots.

I'd love to have: bits of vintage stuff like lace, buttons, keys, metal gears, bits of vintage jewelry (especially rhinestone stuff) for crafting new jewelry from, crochet dish clothes etc. I love anything handmade because I feel it truly comes "from the heart". Oh, fabric for making purses is always welcomed as well! For those I love vintage barkcloth or nice printed upholstery fabrics and bits if soft leather. I'm not above buying wool sweaters, leather skirts, or clothing from goodwill that I then cut up for the fabric. Maybe the piece is out of style but I cut the fabric. I'm working on a pretty rose floral wool sweater that I have felted and now I'm making a piece from it into a wrist cuff with bits of lace and vintage buttons etc.

i love bracelets and wear a size 7 to 71/2". Rings sizes 7 and 8. for necklaces i like a longer length like no shorter than 24". I'm plus size so I don't like tight things around my neck. I wear mostly silver but like the antiqued brass and other metals that are so popular now too. I'm not into gothic styles though. Although i think some of it is pretty, it's just not me. i like jewelry in most any color except burgandy and i don't like plastic or acrylic beads. i love making little boxes. so paper for handmade ones are wonderful, i love matchboxes too, so anything to decorate them with, ribbon, charms, paint, little things to go inside

altered book making materials and instructions (i'm just figureing them out), Card making stuff, Vintage fabrics, or squares cut for quilt making, Love florals of anything, paper, fabric etc.

Vintage fabric and vintage repro's fabric are grand! I'm going to be making a red and black quilt soon for my son who went to Texas Tech and that is their colors. So I'm looking for red or black printed fabrics that I can use. Even small flower prints are ok if anyone has any to trade, i'd love to do a trade for some of what you might need. Things for jewelry making (vintage bits, chain, findings (all metals) etc., Vintage/Antique photos of people, vintage (or new) rick-rack, vintage seam binding (satin kind), vintage embroidery pieces like table linen - especially flowers. Things from around the world...anything! Vintage ephemera, Unusual crafting supplies - I love old stuff! Love authentic Sea Glass, Anything handmade.

Things I don't need are beads (I have plenty) except really pretty lampwork beads. Foam sheets Sequins Candy Plastic junkie stuff

I don't care for things from homes where there is smoking. Cat hair (I'm allergic to cats) but if things are not covered in it, they are ok! I don't like stickers just slapped onto an atc or matchbox, a little bit of effort goes a long way I don't like it when people don't write some sort of short comment on ratings...take a minute, slow down and tell me something you liked about what i made you so i will know it's pleasing to others, it only takes a minute
