2019 February Update Hey everyone, Dealing with the aftermath of the polar vortex has meant that most of my mailing was returned to me with damages.

I've had to help family with a house fire and moving, so I'm basically out of the game when it comes to swaps. I'm working on making it up to those who are missing things from me. Thanks.]

I am Cassi and I enjoy papercrafts, junk journaling, artist trading cards, mail art, and pocket letters. I've just joined SwapBot in 2018, but I started arts and crafts in 2017, and have been a journaler since 2014. I participated in many swaps on facebook and instragram, but I would like to participate in more letter writing and mail art, so here I am!

I speak 2.5 languages. My native language is English and Spanish, and I studied Korean to an intermediate conversational fluency.

I am also trained as an English teacher, but work as a program coordinator and program assistant.

I lived in Korea for nearly 2 years and now reside back in Chicago with my family.

I actually have many styles of craft that I prefer. I really love shabby chic styles, gothic, and vintage styles. I don't really love pastels, unless they are sparkly or shiny. I really love flowers, flora, fauna, botanicals, whatever you call it, I love it. Prima Marketing is my favorite "I can't afford everything I want" brand. :P

I really really enjoy making junk journals. My 2018 Junk Journal is a mix of pinks and greens (my favorite colors) with black covers and overflowing with random embellishments and mismatching themes strewn throughout.

I subscribe to Stickii club's Retro pack stickers, which I have found to be the best sticker subscription pack. In the past, I received Pipsticks, but no longer enjoy their selection.

I do collect stickers, but I have ended my days of buying Dollar Tree stickers in bulk. I've found that those stickers, although quite pretty, aren't the first things I grab when I start to craft.

I do love to alterbooks and three of my main art journal/junk journals are altered books from the dollar store. I am still learning a lot about art journaling, so any type of stencil, stamp, and embellishments are incredibly welcome.

I've begun looking into postcards and I really prefer to receive them in an envelope.

I really hope to invest in a die cutting machine, so I can cut my own stencils and embellishments.

I follow a few artists on youtube, who I watch regularly and feel so inspired by their beautiful art. My #1 favorite is Maremi Small Arts. Her online kits are gorgeous.

In addition to artistry and crafting, I do enjoy video games. I own an XBOX One and I play Overwatch. I really enjoy watching Jesse Cox and Markiplier on youtube, for their horror game Let's Play videos.

Lastly, I'm a huge fan of Chicago's C2E2. I go every year with my best friends and I always help her with her costume play. I sew and design costume ideas for cosplay, when I have time.

I love watching a good television show.

I've seen so many ! I most enjoy crime/procedurals and scifi shows. My favorite show for many years was Numb3rs.

I also really enjoy foreign TV shows and movies, specifically older Korean dramas, classic Korean movies, old Japanese dramas, and recently, spanish telenovelas.

DISLIKES or Don't Need

• Any thing with a sharp smell will be difficult for me so if you can avoid it, please. I have a very sensitive nose and feel sick with certain smells.

• I don't usually like scraps of paper, but I will accept them from certain brands or swaps if they are agreed upon first. I do collage art and I'm very careful with my choices.

• I really do not need Dollar Tree items. Chances are I already have them! This isn't a dislike. 💛💛

• I also won't get much use out of confetti or very small cuts of paper unless we've discussed it.

• I don't want any Christian religious material. If you want to send other religious material so I can learn more about it, that's okay!

• please no rewards or happy planner type stickers (I have plenty!)

• no acetate ephemera or stickers.
