My name is Rachael Stella, and what I love most is books. New books, used books, all books! I read all kinds of books and enjoy talking about them to anyone who will listen! My favourite books range from Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte to The Hobbit by Tolkien, to anything by Jane Austen, Neil Gaiman to Margaret Atwood and Samantha Shannon or Sarah J Maas and Richelle Mead. I like YA books, and dystopia, and classics and fantasy/scifi. I love receiving recommendations. I really like all sorts!

I’m currently at university, and I work in a bookshop (surprise!) but my dream job is to work as an editor at a publishing house. I study Fine Art, and I enjoy writing, mostly short stories and reimaginings/patchworked novels. Also, paper and card craft, I like to make 3D collaged dioramas based on books or original stories.

I like cats, and own a ginger tabby called Toby. Named inadvertently after Severus Snape. Aptly, he thinks he is a wizard.

I like vintage florals, and my favourite colours are forest greens, coral pinks, mustard yellows, earthy purples and gunmetal greys.

I enjoy cinema a lot, my favourite director is Wes Anderson - anything to do with him I will love! Other than the films by Wes Anderson, my favourites are Amelie and American Beauty. Also, adaptations of classic literature like Jane Eyre, Tess of the D'Urberville's, North & South, or ANY Jane Austen book. I also love Beauty and the Beast, the Disney film, the story, anything to do with it really. I study Fine Art for my degree, and I like quirky, whimsical illustrations and graphic design. I like to create my own characters and I use books in my art works.

I really like tv shows like Sherlock, Game of Thrones and Hannibal. I have an obsession with Benedict Cumberbatch, I think he is marvellous!

I collect doll house armchairs and miniature books (I'm making a miniature library) and antique vinyl dolls, Kewpie dolls in particular. I also collect Sylvanian Family babies. I also love maps, and I have several globes dotted around my house and a bedside table that I decoupaged with maps. I like interior design, mixing old and new, I like to go to Ikea as well as buying old furniture on ebay- I got a great high-back armchair for £20 once! Such a great deal!
