Married with grown up children and lots of grandchildren, the latest of which I actually got to deliver as she was in a bit of a hurry to get here. I like doing things for my community and am a member of my local Lions club. I am a registered nurse, but am now basically retired due to physical inability to continue in this profession. I love food, (as anyone who has seen my photo will already know) and love to try new recipes; although once I've cooked a dish once or twice I usually then just go ad hoc and change it to suite what I have in the house. I'd like more vegetarian recipes as I don't have much idea about vegetarian cooking. I'm not a bit tea drinker, although it's growing on me. I'm more of a coffee girl, though I'm being very moderate now as we all know we shouldn't have too much caffeine. I like most types of chocolate, though white chocolate is my least favourite. I like mints, cinnamon flavour and soft or hard centres. I do not like cherry or orange anything. I like gummies or hard sweets (candy). My favourite colours are green (especially emerald) and deep purple. I also like blue and yellow. I do NOT like pink or orange, and I prefer deep colours to pastels.
I'm not a fan of acrylics, but will tolerate them if they are soft and not scratchy. I'm not a fan of Mohair or other fluffy yarns as they make me sneeze. I have discovered the lovely softness that is Malabrigo, and I adore silk. I also love Lorna's Laces Lion and Lamb and Handmaiden Lady Godiva, the former is very expensive here in Australia, and the latter is a little cheaper.....but I bought the Lion and Lamb for my clapotis and am very glad I did.

Pretty eclectic tastes, anything from Classical to pop. Some hip hop is ok, but not really into heavy metal or grunge. Currently I like Mika, The Fray, Nick Cave, John Farnham and Belinda Emmett: both Australian artists, though Belinda's debut album will also be her last as very sadly, she died of cancer before it was released.

US; Greys Anatomy,House and Heroes. Aussie; All Saints, Dancing with the Stars and Big Brother.

Knitting, (socks, scarves, lace, dishcloths and occasionally a sweater or two), Cross Stitch and Scrap Booking. Not a craft, but I love reading, just about anything except soppy romances.
