I enjoy nearly all music - alternative rock, folk music, rock, R&B, jazz, blues, etc. I also love listening to live music. I nearly always have music on in the kitchen.

I love cook books, craft books & gardening books. My favorite novels are usually mystery books. Top mystery authors at the moment are Louise Penny, Maureen Jennings, Giles Blunt, Kathy Reichs, Elizabeth George and the "Blue Shoes & Happiness" series by Alexander McCall Smith. I also love books which make me think - For example, The Book Thief; Secret Life of Bees; Memory Makers Daughter; To Kill a Mockingbird... I belong to a book club where we meet at a restaurant once a month to drink wine and discuss our book of the month. It is a lot of fun.

I love quilting and sewing. I also enjoy journaling (especially bullet journaling).

I am married to a wonderful guy and have a 29 year old son. I also have a step-son who is married to a great lady from Germany. They have a 8 year old son and a 6 year old daughter and just live 30 minutes away. I love being a grandma.

I live on Manitoulin Island - the world's largest freshwater island. (It is in northern Lake Huron close to Georgian Bay)

My husband and I are both retired and love to travel. We try to go somewhere warm every winter. Love to see new things and meet new people.

I love washi tape, stationary paper, note cards, vintage or interesting buttons and fabric, teabags (herbal or regular wrapped), ribbons, lace. I'm crazy about dogs and cats and other animals. I find woodland creatures adorable. I love hiking and canoeing. I plant some container gardens in the summer. My favorite colours tend to be jewel tones but I'm not picky.

Just a note to let you know that although I think I live in a wonderful country, the postal system is dismally slow. If things are slow getting there, please email me and I'll let you know when it was sent. If you don't receive it in a fairly reasonable timeframe, I will send a new package.

I find as I grow older that I am increasingly in love with our earth and concerned about the way we treat it. I also find myself becoming more gentle with people and more open to new ideas and philosophies. I am trying to do something creative every day and also want to try new things. For reasons beyond my control my career life is most likely over, so I am finding new ways to measure my worth.

I watch Survivor, Hells Kitchen, MasterChef and Top Chef. I also enjoy true crime/policing shows like the First 48 hours. I also some Netflix shows such as The Crown and Peaky Blinders. I like any mystery or crime dramas.

RECIPE SWAPS: I have a recipe binder as well as a recipe box, so I am happy with either 4" X 6" cards or sheets to insert into my binder.

I love to cook, so am always interested in new recipes.

I really enjoy SwapBot, but I don't enjoy drama - If you haven't received something from me...please just let me know and I'll resend. I have never flaked and never will. This is supposed to be fun and I would like it if we all keep it that way.

I haven't been on SwapBot for some years and I am sure that you may be wondering why. I had become quite close with someone on SwapBot (writing letters frequently for a few years) but she passed away rather suddenly and I found I had to back away from SwapBot.

As I have even more time on my hands than usual due to the Corona virus, I have decided that I should get back to it.
