I'm a wife and mom of a fantastic 14 year old daughter - we have a small sheep farm where we raise Columbia sheep. Our daughter also shows sheep and many other things through 4H and our county fair. In fact, this year, our daughter is the Gratiot County Fair for Youth Junior Fair Queen. She has been the Champion Junior Sheep Showman, Junior Reserve Champion Overall Showman, Junior Sheep Skill-A-Thon Champion, Intermediate Sheep Skil-A-Thon Champion, Food Grand Champion, etc. We are definitely a 4H family! My favorite colors are the earthtones, although I dont have only one favorite - I like many colors but NOT bright red (you know that Red Heart yarn bright christmas red Grandma always used - yuck) I love fiber!! Besides my family, knitting is my passion. All kinds of knitting - dishcloths, hats, scarves, & especially knit felting projects.

I enjoy reading but dont take the time to do it on a regular basis. My favorite author is Beverly Lewis. She writes fiction about Amish and Mennonite families based on her growing up in Lancaster County Pennsylvania. If you have never read her books, you should try one. It's much better than the cheap smutty romance stuff that's out there.

As I said in "About Me", I love fiber!! I so enjoy knitting. It's a relaxing hobby and I look forward to it every day. All kinds of knitting - dishcloths, hats, scarves & especially knit felting projects. I also basketweave, scrapbook (go Cricut!), make homemade cards and silk flower arrange.

My daughter and I are Survivor fans. We also watch American Idol. We love Wheel of Fortune - I still say my Spin ID is going to come up one of these days! :D

We listen to all different types of music - country, classical, oldies, etc.

I'm a fantastic cook!! I love to cook and bake. My family is of german descent and my husband's family of Czech descent so cooking is definitely a long standing family tradition. I have MANY cookbooks (some new and some old) and just love collecting recipes, recipe cards, etc.
