I'm a happy, and sometimes crass, Florida chick who enjoys school (I'm going for Nursing after I realized my first bachelors degree wasn't getting me anywhere), NHL hockey, and cooking. I also love fashion and trying to (really, more like dreaming of) dressing like a bona fide sophisticated lady until I speak on inappropriate topics and curse like a sailor and my cover is blown. I wear flip flops everywhere except work. Yes, this means I wear flip flops on the rare occasion that I participate in a little bit of outdoor sport and also when it's cold outside. Speaking of cold, I define it as being cold any time I can see my breath in the air....or when it's 65 degrees. Whichever comes first. I eagerly await the zombie apocalypse and would like to choose the crossbow as my weapon. I also think our world is consumed with people who would make stupid moves which would lead to death by bite, and zombies love a good crowd of people so in the event of the apocalypse, please consider us un-friended. On a typical day, you can catch me attempting to gather new followers for my blog, reading, and watching trashy reality shows. Also, I love wine.

I love anything I can sing loud and obnoxiously too in the car, anything that puts me in a good mood and makes me what to showcase my terrible dance moves. I enjoy country, pop, rock, 70s, 80s, 90s, musical, and more. One of the songs that makes me break out singing and dancing is "99 Red Balloons" by Nena. Favorite artists include Frank Sinatra, Dashboard Confessional, Britney Spears, Carrie Underwood, almost any boy band (I still listen to them from my heyday), Brad Paisley, Lady Gaga, Sublime, Mumford and Sons, Miranda Lambert, etc.

Catch-22 by Joseph Heller is my favorite novel.

"Oh, no, no, no, no, no," Major Danby pleaded. "No, Yossarian, you'll never get there. You can't run away to Sweden. You can't even row."

"But I can get to Rome if you'll keep your mouth shut when you leave here and give me a chance to catch a ride. Will you do it?"

"But they'll find you," Major Danby argued desperately, "and bring you back and punish you more severely."

"They'll have to try like hell to catch me this time."

"They will try like hell. And even if they don't find you, what kind of way is that to live? You'll always be alone. No one will ever be on your side, and you'll always live in danger of betrayal."

"I live that way now."

"But you can't just turn your back on all your responsibilities and run away from them," Major Danby insisted. "It's such a negative move. It's escapist."

Yossarian laughed with buoyant scorn and shook his head. "I'm not running away from my responsibilities. I'm running to them. There's nothing negative about running away to save your life."

I also love David Sedaris, Jodi Picoult, and any novel that makes me think, even if it's just a little bit.

I love old movies like Singing in the Rain, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, and For Me and My Gal. Basically, anything with Gene Kelly and/or Marilyn Monroe makes me happy. I'm a girl so of course I love The Notebook. Favorite actors/actresses include: Natalie Portman, Rachel McAdams, John Cusack (swoon), Katherine Heigl, Jack Nicholson, George Clooney, Zooey Deschanel, Ryan Gosling... I also enjoy comedies that I can quote often like Wedding Crashers, Step Brothers, Office Space, and Borat. Romantic comedies make me smile, no matter how corny and unrealistic they are.

In no particular order: Grey's Anatomy, Jersey Shore, Top Chef, Survivor, Dawson's Creek, Felicity, Sex and the City, Gossip Girl, Real Housewives of (insert city here), Tosh.0, The Office, Dexter, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The Big Bang Theory. I'm also a sports fan, particularly hockey, and I watch many, MANY Food Network shoes.

I'm not a truly crafty person, but I would like to be! I like notepads, pens, markers, ribbon, buttons, lace, flowers...anything that's pretty and full of sparkles! :)
