Hello 👋 thanks for visiting my profile.

So a bit about me....not good with this sort of profile writing thing....I’m live in the UK, in a small town which suits me well because I’m much happier in the countryside than a busy town or city.

I’m a friendly, open minded, quiet person very much a creative type; with designing and craft being both a hobby and my work. My interests include a wide variety of music (everything from Meatloaf to Mozart), films, going to the theatre when I get the chance, reading, genealogy, cooking, houseplants and gardening, jigsaw puzzles, history, nature, animals. I’ve had pets all my life of some description or another and am ‘mum’ to 2 dogs at the moment.

Love penpalling/snail mail it’s such a wonderful way of building friendships all around the world; whether it be a long chatty letter or a postcard with a simple ‘how you doing’. Nothing beats the thrill of seeing a letter or postcard drop through the door with a foreign stamp on it and knowing that you have another chatty letter to sit down and enjoy ...with a good cup of tea of course! Recently discovered Postcrossing.....how have I missed that for so long!! So I’m really loving that as well.

Impossible to choose one favourite type of music or artist!

Music for me depends on what sort of mood I’m in so I listen and enjoy a wide variety of styles and artists but amongst some of my favourites are....

Melissa Etheridge, Imelda May, Emili Sandé, Tom Jones, Pink, Neil Diamond, Ella Fitzgerald, Elvis Presley, Miranda Lambert, Kelly Clarkson, Alan Jackson, Faith Hill, Johnny Cash, Imelda May, k.d.Lang, Paloma Faith, Andre Rieu, Puccini, Mozart, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Johann Strauss.......

I have to say I do prefer proper books but for convenience I do read ebooks at times and also listen to audiobooks as well. I like thrillers, suspense, murder mysteries and if they can have historical setting, a touch of the gothic or a spattering of steampunk then even better, lol! A few of the authors I reach for James Patterson, Thomas Harris, Stephen King, Patricia Cornwell, Karin Slaughter, Dan Brown, Lloyd Shepherd, C M Palov

Basically just like making stuff!

Mixed media/stamping/papercraft and drawing would be the main ones . Enjoy doing canvases, boxes, journal covers and also smaller things like atc’s etc that are quicker projects and also fun things to swap.

Then addition I also enjoy watercolour, crochet, knitting, fabric painting, sewing, macrame, jewellery making....as I said I like making stuff and I love trying new things out.

Enjoy swapping postcards, letter writing paper, letter sets, atc’s, inchies, small crafted items

Likes: Vintage, Steampunk, Florals especially botanical style /vintage look, dogs, animals in general, birds, foliage, skulls, Halloween, Dia de Muertos, gothic, quotes, Christmas

Not my favourite : overly glittery things, childlike cute images (kawaii), children’s cartoon characters/superheroes

Postcards: unless a swap dictates otherwise or they’re being popped in with a letter, I prefer them sent as a postcard...stamped and written on.
