October 2020 update: I lost my mom suddenly on Sept 27....I'm still grieving pretty hard....the nightmares are the worst. All my swaps are up to date, but if you get a sad letter from me, please understand......

Hi! Ok, a little about me. I really would rather poke straight pins in my eyes than write one of these, but I'll give it a shot. I am a crazy, sarcastic wife, and mom. I have two kids. My son is 20 and my daughter is 16. It's really hard yet amazingly wonderful watching them grow. When each of them drove off in their car for the very first time, I cried like a baby!!! I have 4 fur babies that will never drive away from me!!! LOL Moses is an 11 year old Maltese that is just the sweetest little boy! My second fur-boy is a 9 year old German Shorthaired Pointer (we think). He's another shelter puppy and he was found and never picked back up. We love him. His name is Duke, but we call him Moose most of the time...;0P My "baby" is a 2 year old Coton de Tulear. He is the biggest snuggle bug on the planet.....he's still got so much puppy in him! His name is Thor...not because I'm a Marvel fan or anything, but I wanted a little dog with a BIG name. He was only 2.5 pounds when we got him....so it fit! He loves to play with his toys and is constantly getting a new one....lol My latest addition is a tiny yorkie mix. Her name is Princess (we call her Prin or Prinny) She was my mom's dog....Mom passed away suddenly a few weeks ago. Having Prinny with me is like having a tiny piece of my mom with me all the time..... My hubby is awesome! He was even folding laundry this morning while I read the paper! Definitely a keeper. We met when I was 15 and he was 16 and we have been together ever since. I would be lost without him. He is truly my better half. We are still sappy sweet, sending each other love notes on facebook ad nauseum. We have been together 33 years. and married for 24. There is nothing in this whole world I would trade him for. I am a very lucky girl! And I love being Steve's girl! This website is sooo cool. I remember having a Japanese pen pal when I was young and I sooo loved it! I have always wanted another pen pal from some far away place. I live in Illinois and just feel like it's so hum drum.
I enjoy reading and meditation as well as learning about other's traditions and cultures.

I love all kinds of music! I will listen to just about anything. I have an open mind and love to explore! I love counrty music! I also love ANYTHING that is written and/or sung by Will Duvall. Remember that name!!!! You'll be seeing him soon! He is a fantastic person, musician and friend!!!!

I cannot read enough books! I like all kinds! My favs are the Sookie Stackhouse novels.I read all of them a few years back in the span of about two months. I also love the Harry Potter series, Twilight, and I love anything written by Jefferson Bass. They are a duo that write crime novels based around the Body Farm at the University of Tennessee. It's creepy but very intriguing. There is nothing that can compare to the joy of getting totally lost in the pages of a book! I'll read just about anything!!!! I am always reading something, and if I find something that I particularly love, my family knows that they have lost me for a couple days.....

Oh, I am a true 80's girl! Sixteen Candles, Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink!!! Although not 80's, I could watch Overboard over and over and over and over again. I also like scary movies as long as the hubby is there to hold my hand! And sappy romantic chick flicks are fun too. I love horror flicks.The Conjuring scared the pants off of me!!! HOLY BEJEBUS!!! I had to sleep with my back against Steve, I was so scared....and I wouldn't let him leave me alone anywhere. I even made him go to the bathroom with me!!! I told ya he's a keeper!

Television...hmmmm well, there's really not a lot that I watch. I do love Criminal Minds (oh that Morgan is HOT, yes I love my hubby but hell I'm not dead!!! That dude would be hottttt in a tub of ice water!!!) I can't get enough of Bob's Burgers! Lol....I've seen them all multiple times.

I am a paper junkie! I love journals and notebooks. I used to scrapbook, but ended up spending way too much money on stickers and paper. I have recently become OBSESSED with postcards! I love getting them from all over. I have been doing some swapping on postcrossing.com. I don't care what they look like, but I do prefer them naked...I like cute stickers and stickers with quotes. I LOVE postcards!!!! I love the total sappy touristy ones!!!!! Send me one nakey with a neat tidbit about where it's from or why you were there....what you did there....it's the nosy voyeur in me!!!! lol That will for sure earn you a heart!!!!!

There is really nothing I dislike!!! I am a big kid at heart and adore getting snail mail. I love when there is something in the box JUST FOR ME!!!! Not a bill, or an advertisement....especially a postcard from somewhere far away.....I love it if you'd send me just a little tidbit on it....something you're thinking...something you're wishing or dreaming about, something that annoys you....whatever!!!! ;)
