I came across this wicked cool site while researching altered books and making recycled paper. I love to see what other people create, it just fascinates me, kind of looking at photo albums of people you dont know. You learn alot about what makes people tick.

Ever since I was really small, I used to love to draw and doodle, even though i still am not very good at it. I have been doing "Zentangles" even before I knew what one was. Have you ever been in a conversation on the phone and when you hang up the phone you look at the paper you were doodling on? and you say...."When did I draw this?" Drawing just puts you in that zone.

I love to digitally alter photos into funny pics...It got to the point where nobody wants me to photograph them because they are afraid of what I will do with their pic. :)

My interest in Art and Crafts is probably genetic... my mother loves to press flowers, make wedding invitations, paint,etc...

one of my earliest memories of my mother's crafts, she would collect Mrs. Butterworh bottles, soak them pull labels off, and make fabric aprons for them and make little wide brimmed straw hats with tiny flowers on them and then she would paint their faces. She made some look African-American, some white complexion, some would even be painted to look asian. Then she would give them as gifts.

I think there is art in EVERYTHING, we just need to pull it out and serve it up!

I grew up listening to Metalica, Pearl Jam, the Beatles, I even listened to my folks Hank Williams tapes... My taste in music varies. But until I was about 25 years old, you generally could not get me to listen to country music...Til I was on a construction crew in NYC, and that's ALL they would listen to...after a while i noticed i was singin' along with them while working. Fast forward 15 years later to today, and I would say that about 85% of what I listen to regularly is country. I was converted way back when Garth and Shania were the super-stars.

I really don't have any dislikes in music...I even enjoy loud Latino music once in a while. If I had to say i didn't like something, I would say I don't like rap that is vulgar.

I love Live Music,...concerts are great, but I prefer going into Boston and seeing live bands in a club or bar...I just like the atmosphere of smaller venues. Landsdowne Street is AWESOME!!!

My wife and I love to watch "The Next Food Network Star", just about every show on the Food Network, thanks to Tivo

I have seen just about every episode of "Law and Order" (Every flavor: SVU, Criminal Intent etc)

I also love True TV...forensic files and shows like that. recently we have been watching: Unforgettable, Covert Affairs, and Body of Proof.

I took some courses in lampwork bead making...pretty fun, but you need space for a studio for this type of hobby, and special permits to have propane inside for torches etc...so I never really went further than a couple of multi day courses.

I enjoy making jewelry, but before I can give any away, my wife usually claims them. Haven't made any in a while...usually just repairing jewelry for people lately.

I really like making hand bound books from scratch...that is why i am starting to make my own paper. So far, my paper is more like card stock than sheets of paper. hopefully I will be able to learn to make sheets thin and strong eneough to bind.

Another craft that i LOVE (which many here probably do not consider a craft,) is home brewing...have not done that in a few years, ....boiling the wort makes the house smell like a jar of wheat germ for days.

And I like to do woodworking, I just don't have a shop anymore since i moved about 5 years ago and sold off all my tools and equipment.

I do not care for knitting, sewing, floral arranging, etc. ( to clarify, I don't care to "Do" these types of things...I do not mind receiving these items, I know alot of work and detail goes into these types of crafts and i can appreciate the time it takes to do something you like)

Things I am not interested in receiving are Religious items or anything to do with the occult.

I really like to alter items and make them interesting. I think altered Barbies is very interesting, there are some really strange ones out there. I think when i finally decide to host a swap, i think i will do an altered Barbie swap.

I have been doing alot of surfing on the subject of upcycling... there are so many options...too many cool things to do. I am in the crafty recyclers group so i was looking online for ideas, and usually just loose track of time because there are SO MANY sites on the subject of upcycling.

Also, I like to receive any little things to make atc's with, also,springs, small gears, sprockets,resistors, capacitors, LEDs etc thinks to make little sculptures and robots with. steampunk is another interesting thing i like to play around with
