I'm 46 and wrote lots of pen pals for years, swapped slams, fbs, etc.

I'm married, no kids, one cat. Jon drives me nuts, makes me crazy, but he's my best friend & my world. We started dating twenty four years ago this March! Been married since 9/30/00.

I play flute with a local band. I live in a small-ish town as my parents’ caregivers.

I love planning, reading, history, gardening, canning, camping, photography, animals, classic cars, sci-fi, the ocean, zentangle, weaving, letterboxing, gnomes, yard sales, antiquing, etc

I’m just getting into ATCs. I’m no artist but I love the idea of creating art on a miniature scale. Same thing with zentangle - my hands shake too much to be any good but I enjoy it all the same.

I'm involved with my UCC church and am rather liberal, but try not to talk about religion or politics!

I'm outgoing for my job, but I'm actually rather introverted. I have bipolar, MDD, anxiety, & a few chronic illnesses. I’m autistic and proud!

I work in a group home taking care of three lovely men with disabilities.

Random things I love: turtles, cats, rainbows, cosmetic bags to put my pens & markers in, journals/notebooks/pretty notepads, my planner, stickers, bookmarks, gnomes, European history (especially War of the Roses/Tudors), documentaries, etc.

I am here to make friends & to make some new penpals - as I said above, I'm getting back into the hobby & really miss it.

Ive joined several penpal and notecard related swaps so I hope to meet you there!

I am a long letter writer, but I mainly type my letters. I'll try to hand write occasionally, & if you decide to write I'll be happy to share the details of why I prefer to type. I am not a penpal collector, I'm looking for long term friendships & I'm interested in chatting about more than tv, movies, and the weather (don't get me wrong, I talk about that too!). Friendship should develop over time, and the length of my letters will grow as we know each other better. Yours should too :).

My life is insanely busy, and I won't be answering your letter right away. You shouldn't be feeling pressured to either! Penpaling is a hobby and I love it, but it shouldn't feel like work, or stress or a huge commitment, it should be fun. I usually reply in a month or less so please keep that in mind, too :).

I also swap fbs, ATCs, slams, decos, sticker & label bags or any other type of bag. I'm up for a few regular, long term swappers & or pals - I'd like to swap fbs and decos by the box/large priority envelope but any size/amount is awesome! Excess is always wanted!

I'd really really love to make some fbs and slams for you - if you feel comfortable sending me your address & / or sending me address labels, I'd be so grateful! I'm getting sick of making stuff only for me, that's no fun.... :)

We just lost our beloved furbaby the end of April. We miss him very much.

We do however have a fish tank with African Dwarf Frogs, various types of fish, many many shrimp, and Mystery Snails. The snails are our favorite- they are very active little critters who love to climb high on the tank walls, let go and float slowly to the bottom. We call it parasnailing!
