Things have been hectic at best here... My baby girl who turned 1 on March 15th was burned. Things are just starting to return to normal...

I had just made myself a cup of steaming hot tea using boiling water and I set it down too close to the edge of my desk... I turned to my left to look at the fabric on the shelf next to my desk and my baby girl came up behind me without me hearing her. Next thing I know is her screams of pain was piercing my heart as much as they were my ears...

She pulled the mug down and the entire 12 ounces of boiling hot tea poured down over her left shoulder, chest and tummy...

Luckily her daddy has lightening fast reactions as he opened the kitchen faucet wide open with cold and yelled for me to bring her there. We snatched off her dress and splashed her with the ice cold water.

Due to his quick thinking, she completely fine now!!!

However, I am not... I know it was an accident. But it could have been avoided if I had been more careful. Since she was born I've been suffering from PPD and severe mood swings that my doctors have yet to be able to regulate.

I AM GOING TO BE A GRANDMA!!! My first grandchild is slated to be here around October 9th! My oldest daughter, who is 20, is expecting her first baby. So, my youngest daughter will be 1 year & 7 months old when she becomes an Aunt.

I really do not like "about me" categories. So, rather than try to form this into any sort of order, paragraph or such, I like I'll just make a bullet point of revelant things. LOL * I am a mother of 3: ages 20 years old, 18 years old and 10 MONTHS old... * After having cancer twice and four miscarriages I was told I cannot carry a baby past 3 months. HA! I proved the doctors wrong yet again!!! Without even trying! lol * I was told twice, once when I was 13 and again at 15, that I would never be able to skate, run or do hard physical activity again and probably wouldn't be able to walk either... Yeeeaaaaa. ROFL! No one knows I have problems unless I tell them. * I love crafting. I love canning and baking. It's a toss up which I would rank higher on my list. * Of all the crafts I do, I cannot for the life of me crochet or knit................ * I'm one of those people that is mechanically inclined. It greatly helps in crafting. If I see it, I can probably make it no instructions or supply list needed. * I have approximately 5.5 years of college under my belt but the highest degree I have is an AS. I keep going back for different things that interest me... * I have been diagnosed with ADD and OCD... Yea... Try being me and working on one project at a time! * Growing up, I had 2 household chores (other than cleaning my room, taking care of my pets and other things that were strictly mine), dusting and dishes. Guess which two things I cannot to this day stand to do. * Oh, and in case you haven't figured it out yet, I have a tendency to ramble... So, I'm gonna go now. Bye!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas! I've lost all my Christmas decorations in a move 2 years ago so I'm currently rebuilding it. I'm kinda open in regards to my decorating. Here's why.

I typically have a big -main- tree that I decorate in all blue / silver / white with anything snow related (snowmen, snowflakes, icicles, etc). Since I can't live where there's snow, I'll just recreate it! :-D

Then, there -was- the kids tree. Before the move, it was decorated with all the ornaments they ever made along with their special ornament I bought for them each year...

Other than that, I decorate different areas of the house differently. On the huge wood & brick mantle is woodland / country themed Christmas. The bathroom typically has santa's all over. The kitchen and dining room, well, it's just about everything else! I really love salt & pepper shakers that are shaped like other things and have a Christmas theme to them. My favorite used to be a cartoon moose sitting down with a Christmas bow around his neck and nestled in his antlers was a mouse on top of a Christmas ornament. The moose was one shaker, the ornament and mouse was the other.

The only thing I do NOT like for Christmas - anything other than traditional colors (no pinks, purples, aqua, etc).
