Description:
We've all seen those nice light switch covers, and coveted them - well, okay, I have. Let's make one for our partner! Get an old (or new) light switch cover and beautify it with some nice paper. You'll have to decoupage the paper onto the switch cover - or cover it with shellac. This isn't sender's choice, as you'll need to know if your partner has the older type with the small slot for the switch or the new-fangled type with the large opening. Plus, since you need to know what your partner's switch is like to make it fit, another part of this swap is to design it based on the theme s/he'll want to have, too. Might be for the kid's room, the bedroom, the bathroom, you get it. For this swap, let's make it for a single switch slot. It'll keep costs down, too. I have the same kind of plate as the picture, and I'd like it to be saucy (Betty Page is one example).

Luv this idea...I used to do this back in the day when I'd wallpaper a room...had to make a lightswitch cover to match:)

I have the newer style type with the large opening and would adore anything shabby chic, especially in pale green & pink...hint...hint!

I am looking for a 3 hole switchplate, the regular variety. This is for my craftroom/guestroom/office that is painted in blue. Any theme in blue with white or like @luleemik shabby like will work out great.

Oh, jukejan - one of the stipulations is that it be a one-slot plate. That will keep the costs down. If that changes your theme, please let your partner know.

Ok, I need to pay closer attention to these things. My color scheme could still be blues, but red would work. I think if it had some gold with either color that would be lovely. Thanks
