Description:

Do you always have a snack in your purse or bag just in case you need it? I do! I carry everything from mints and wrapped candies to energy bars and individually-portioned bags of nuts or trail mix. That way, I'm rarely caught hungry while out running errands and, more importantly, I can tame hungry children. :-)

  • For this swap, we will send two or more items that we often carry as a purse snack. The minimum value is $2 US before shipping. This swap is sender's choice, though it's appreciated if you check your partner's profile for any food issues/allergies.

  • All foods MUST be commercially packaged, sealed, and labeled. Check expiration dates before sending.

  • Add a note of at least a few sentences, more than just your name & swap name, to your partner to personalize the swap.

The usual group rules also apply:

  • Be courteous by sending our swaps on time and rating our partners when we receive. In the rare circumstance that you must be late, it is expected that you will contact both your partner and the swap host.

  • Package your swap appropriately to protect the contents. Zip-top baggies are smart for containing unexpected breaks and leaks. Boxes rather than envelopes should be used for fragile items. We all appreciate the efforts taken to keep our swaps enjoyable!

My apologies for the delay in assigning partners. I was hoping to hear back from one of the participants before assigning partners. Partners will be assigned later today. I can bump the send-by date back a couple days to compensate for the delay in partner assignment.

To clarify the description, this swap is a sender's choice and should reflect what the sender might carry in her purse for a snack. It is nice to check preferences and allergies (some would consider this heart-worthy), but participants must rate a 5 if they receive 2 snacks worth at least $2 total. Hope this info helps! :-)

Partners have been assigned. The send-by deadline has been bumped from October 1 to October 3. Happy swapping! :-)

Sorry I wasn't online for two days to respond. I guess I misunderstood the swap and if I had known I would have dropped out. I just assumed it was ok for me to join the swap if I had allergies. I wouldn't want to swap with someone who didn't care if they sent me food that would cause me to become ill.

I'm sorry you feel that way. I think that most people do want to send you something enjoyable. I know that I always want my partners to be delighted with what I have chosen to send to them.

As I mentioned to you in my PM, I can't have artificial sweeteners, but I just pass along items I can't have to friends/family who would appreciate them more. I wanted to make sure you knew that, in this sender's choice swap, it is possible that you will receive something that doesn't meet your dietary requirements.

Either way, your sending partner is wonderful, and I'm sure she will send you something you're satisfied with.
