Description:
Instead of doing dishcloths, I have decided to do a washcloth swap!! This swap is for one handmade 100% cotton washcloth. It can either be knit/crochet or sewed. You will have one partner and will make one wash cloth. If you want to send along the pattern you used, please feel free to do so. (I love getting new patterns).... Any color or design, senders choice. When I knit washcloths I usually cast on either 25 or 29 stitches. I make them a little smaller than dishcloths. Do not wait for partners to be assigned. Choose any pattern and color of cotton yarn you would like and get started right away. This is not an expensive swap to complete. Please do not use designer cotton yarns for this project. These dishcloths are meant to be useful and durable. No swappers with less than a 4.8. If you're a newbie and want to join you must have a fully completed profile. Have fun... I will angel if need be.

Is there a difference between dishcloths and washcloths? (Not in the use, but in the type of pattern I'd use.)

The patterns I have for knitting a washcloth usually have me cast on either 25 or 29 stitches. They can be slightly smaller than a dishcloth. I have a really cute Christmas tree pattern I can send you if you a knitter. Let me know. : )

This is only for knitted or crocheted? I don't do either but I do make other wash cloths.

Yes I do sew mine! I have all handmade dish and wash cloths I've done in my house!
