Description:

The world is full of all different post boxes to send our mail... Australia has red ones, USA has blue ones, France has yellow ones.... so for this swap, let's photograph the post box where you normally post your mail.

Create three 6"x4" postcards from your post box photo to mail to your partners. (You send one postcard to each partner, which means you send three postcards in total). The photo must be your own photo. Write a message on the back about where it is located - perhaps in a mundane shopping mall, or in some quirky little post office...

To create the postcards, have your photographs printed in a darkroom, at a photo lab or at home on your own photo printer. Adhere cardboard to the back of the photo to make it into a postcard (if required). Stamp and send naked (ie: no envelope) to your partner.

Newbies welcome with a well filled out profile. Swappers must have no recent 1's or 3's. Happy Swapping!!!

(I'm planning on hosting a series of these swaps with different types of post/mail boxes, so stay tuned for further swaps on this theme!)

I have taken my photo, but have to watch this swap for now waiting to send out some swaps then I can join. My question is I have altered my photo to make the picture more interesting. Is this ok?

Can they be instant camera photos?

Neeky8 08/26/2011 #

@littleredpixi - Sure - they can be altered to make them more interesting!

@marija - the postcard needs to be 6"x4", but you could take the image with an instant camera and adhere it to 6"x4" board if that would work? Any type of photography is suitable - just so long as the postcard itself is the 6"x4" size, then it would fit in with the requirements of the swap. Hope this helps!!
