host a blog giveaway

I am always looking for ways to drive traffic to my blog, but I have never done a giveaway. Let's give it a try.

For this swap you will host a giveaway for any handmade (by you!) item you would like. It can be an atc, another type of art piece, a zine, a craft, etc. Whoever comments to your post will be automatically entered to win said item. Sometimes blog giveaways allow people to earn extra entries by tweeting about the giveaway, or promoting it in some other way. You are free to add these extras, as long as you allow anyone who comments to still earn that one entry.

In addition to hosting your giveaway, you will also be required to visit your partner's blogs and enter their giveaway. The giveaway is for anyone that reads your blog, so the winner does not have to be a swapbot member. Please post the link or url address to your blog in the comments section when you sign up.

This swap has a few steps and deadlines, so please pay attention to the rules.

• You must have an online blog that allows anyone to comment.
• You must post a photo and description of the handmade item you are giving away by June 12th.
• In your giveaway post you must also include a little section about your partner's blogs and the giveaways they are hosting.
• Choose your winner on June 20th (swap deadline.).
• Visit the blogs of the partners you send to, and join their giveaways.

Timeline

• sign up by June 5th
• make / design giveaway
• post your giveaway by June 12th
• visit your partner's blogs and enter their giveaways
• use an online random generator to chose the winner on June 20th (swap deadline)

How to rate for this swap:

Rate your partner a 5 if they followed all the rules, including posting a giveaway by the proper deadline, and entering your giveaway. If they only comment in your blog, but do not post their giveaway in their blog rate them a 3. Same goes if they post their giveaway but do not comment in your blog.

You must have a minimum 4.95 rating, no recent no-sends, and no shady activity to participate. I reserve the right to ban anyone I feel will not follow through. I will angel if there are any flakers.
