Description:

i have done these before and they are always fun

since this is a hunt and not profile based you can start gathering up your items now but i will give you a couple of weeks after signup to put it together in case you want to check out your partners profile and try to find some items that fit

first find some wraping paper , newspaper , or whatever you have on hand to wrap each item and mark the letter that its for on the outside of the package

you will be sending one item or group of items for each letter of the alphabet

DO not send One brad or One small piece of ribbon Make your package something you would love to receive

you can use items you have on hand as long as they are nice and in new or gently used condition

be creative and try to think outside of the box

A could be ATC , Apple lip balm, a rubber stamp or note cards with an apple on it

B could be a bouncy ball, a ball of yarn , Beads( include at least 15 or 20 decent beads (no pony or seed beads) or a gently used book

anyway you get the idea when you get all done you should have 26 items wrapped and ready to mail to your partner

Remember 26 items or groups of items if they are small Wrapped and Labeled with the letter of the alphabet on the outside of the package

4.9 or higher at lease 5 package swaps no newbies for this one USA only but feel free to start a international one if you want

Have fun Play nice

a quick quide

Ribbon 4 or 5 pieces at least 12 inches long Beads 15 to 20 no seed beads or pony beads brads eyelets, 15 to 20 not all the same note cards 2 or 3 with or without envies those are the main things i can think of but just use common sense and send a package that you would love to receive

Wow! 26 items. in one swap!

Duckygirl 04/18/2011 #

Will there be a price limit ?

Rejoicing 04/19/2011 #

@duckygirl I think it is from your stash, so the only price should be postage, right?

I hosted an Advent in a Box swap and it is very difficult fitting 25 things in a small flat rate box. This swap is for 26 things!
So tempting! Watching for now...

Flat rate envies (about $4.95 in PO) hold a lot more than the small flat rate box...I've been able to fit at least 15 items in an flat rate envie including some large items (ie: magazines, notecards, books, as well as smaller craft items).

This swap should only cost price of postage since the items come from your own stash!!

Okay I must be missing something, because I don't see where it saids it has to be mailed flat rate

Even if your items are coming from your own stash at home, they still cost money.

So one person could send $5.00 from there stash while another, sends $10.00 from her/his stash.

I've done this before and it is fun to see what things you can find around your house that go with each letter. I got all of mine in a large envie and sent it First Class parcel for around $3.00. I also received a great package from daffyd1963 ~ I still remember how much fun that was to open.

No, don't have to send flat rate - just might save you some money in the long run. Depends on what you send.

Is anyone else having any trouble getting the letter X item? Other than that I am having fun putting together my items for this swap

I use "x-tra stuff"
