Description:

This swap is for folks to share a nice letter and a tradiitonal recipe. I'm blessed to live in Amish country and have an Italian mom and Southern dad, so there is always good eatin's in my home!

ABOUT THE LETTER: Introduce yourself in a nice letter to you partner. Try to make that friendly connection! Explain the types of food traditionally eaten in your home or in your part of the world. The letter should be 2 pages, but it can be longer!

ABOUT THE RECIPE: The recipe should represent a traditional kind of food of where you live, your ethnic background, or even your religious traditions. It can even be a traditional family recipe. Just make sure it's not a recipe from a magazine, that it is something significant to understanding you, your religion, your region, or your ethnicity. Please write out your recipe on a nice recipe card. If you cannot get recipe cards where you live, please feel free to use a blank index card, just make it look pretty!

If you receive a letter and a traditional recipe on a recipe card, rate a 5 please. Open to all group members.

I'm not sure I can fit one oy my mum's recipes on an index card, but I will try my best! German food coming right up....

There are some nice traditional recipes printed on postcards here. I shall see if I can get some (more!)

Waffled (not a Belgian recipe!) on a bit and enclosed recipe postcard. Should be posting it tomorrow.
