Description:

Do you have an Amazon.com wishlist? Then this swap is for you! For this swap, you will be assigned one partner, for whom you will purchase at least one item for from their Amazon.com wishlist.

All swappers must have (or add) at least three items or more to their personal Amazon.com wishlist that are between $5-$15. So the person buying for you isn't forced into spending a whole lot of money.

There is NO spending limit for the person buying for their partner. You can spend as much or as little as you like on your partner as long as you buy them at least one item from their wishlist.

Please make sure that you all have your wishlists set up correctly, that is with it set to mail to your correct address, etc. As this does not require you to ship out anything yourself, please make sure all purchases are made by the deadline!

You can link to your wishlist in your profile (recommended!) or in the comments below!

I have this for US swappers only for postage costs, however if anyone would like to start an international version, please feel free to!

No newbies for this swap, sorry! Must have a rating of at least 4.75 with no unexplained no-sends.

Hah! I'm first in line to sign up! lol! This is going to be a fun swap! Thanks for adding this creative idea.

What a great idea. I was just thinking of something like this the other day!

My Amazon Wishlist link is here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/12SN2VFT9Y200/ref=cmwlsortbaropage_1/104-8122314-1268760?ie=UTF8&filter=all&sort=priority&layout=standard&reveal=unpurchased&page=1

But that's alot to highlight, cut, and paste, so if you go to Amazon, I believe you can just put my name in there and find my Wishlist that way.

Also, I wanted to add that my book(s) doesn't have to be new. Used is fine with me! (I hope they are in good condition, used.) I've seen some of the books on my wishlist starting at only $.01 used! I've also worked at prioritizing my list somewhat, too. So though my Wishlist has grown to 4 pages, you could probably find something on the first page and don't have to scroll through all 4 unless you just want to. :)

Have fun! I'm going to enjoy shopping for someone else!

I also wanted to offer this tip, that you can sort your partner's Wishlist by Priority which will bring the books they most want to the top of the list.

Karla, I noticed that you have the Monica Ferris books on your list. I love them! My favorite is Crewel Yule. I am reading her most current one now, Sins and Needles. I love looking at other peoples lists, it gives me ideas of what to put on mine. ~Tricia

Hi, Tricia

Yes, I read her first book and loved it and then noticed she had a "series" going.

I like looking at others' Wishlists, too, for the same reason. There are just so many interesting books out there, I can't find them all, so seeing what others have found helps me discover new ones I might like!

Have fun with this swap. I'm looking forward to it.

What a great idea for a swap. I have to admit, I am one of the last people on this earth to have an Amazon Wishlist. As a matter of fact, I just set up my first one ever after deciding I wanted to be in this swap. So here is the link...if you have any problems with it, please let me know. I am new to Amazon and am still figuring it out.

Oh, I also wanted to add that any of my books on my list can be "used". Thanks!

stephaniedavies 10/16/2007 #

Any of my books can be used also! Or I would love any non-books I have listed also - the things you buy for your partner don't have to be books! Happy Swapping!

Stephanie, your swap is on its way! I had lots of fun!

BTW, you might want to put your name in the WishList search engine over at Amazon.com and note that you have several WishLists set up. I don't know if you mean to have more than one, but I hope I chose from the right one! I think I did as you added a couple of things on there yesterday...but I hope that Amazon sends my gift to the right address! They wouldn't show me your address in the transaction so that I could verify it with the address I got from Swap-bot.

So everyone, not only be sure you have only one Wishlist at Amazon but make sure your address is current on there, too, 'cause Amazon keeps it private even from those sending a gift to you.

I searched for my own name and found I had two wishlists. Thankfully, one had only 1 book on it, so I deleted that wishlist and put that 1 book on my BIG wishlist! ha ha!

I can't wait to see what my partner chooses for me. I know I'm gonna LOVE it!

I wonder if they'll tell me when they send it....I don't know who was assigned my name, they might want to keep it a secret....

KarlaKC 10/17/2007 #

Funny. I just discovered that the person sending to me is Stephanie. Just not the same Stephanie that I was assigned to! How cool is that?

Here's the address you asked for, Stephanie (solarts).

Thank you, Stephanie R., for the 2008 Day-to-Day Calendar Pages from my Amazon Wishlist! They just arrived today (Friday) and I love all the patterns!

This was a great swap! Thank you for suggesting it Stephanie D.! I hope we can do this again really soon!
