Description:

So...who was your secret fictional boyfriend?

Valentine's Day is fast approaching. What book character set your heart a-flutter when you were young? Does he or she still hold a certain fondness in your heart?

You are invited to send a postcard describing a romantic hero or heroine that you loved as a child/teenager. Please focus on one primary character and tell your partner what made that person so appealing to you, though you can certainly mention other characters you liked as well. It would also be interesting to write about whether your childhood ideal is still the same person or if the person you chose now would be different.

Postcards should be sent naked and stamped, and can be handmade, store-bought, clean-thrifted, or vintage. For this swap, you should send either a Valentine/romantic themed postcard OR a postcard specifically related to the book you've chosen. Please note you'll have 5 days to send the card once partners are assigned.

You will send 2 postcards describing dreamy crushes and you'll receive two cards in return. Let the whispering and giggling begin!

I'd wear Stanley Crandall's ID bracelet anytime!

I can't believe more of us didn't have crushes on book characters! C'mon, 'fess up, people. Your significant others aren't reading this.

Did have fictional crushes? Still do. (but since I'm technically still a teenager that's fine :)

Hah @Halogen ! I do, too. I will never give up the right to swoon over fictional loves.

So this is amusing: My name is Ginny and I'm sending to a Jenny. Ginny is receiving from two Jennys. (the little things are most amusing)

Halogen 02/ 6/2011 #

ahaha, ya, I'm Jenny and I'm sending to a Jenny and a Ginny.

Ginny, did you ever read the Ginnie and Geneva books by Catherine Woolley? Whenever I write your name, I think of those--they were some of my favorite books!

No I haven't! I'll have to check that out!
