This woman posts lots of helpful things. I thought if you were just trying out sewing, this might be most helpful.

Quilts have so many different elements to be able to complete them. This is a tutorial on binding the edges but I don't think that it is the only way to do it.

This was just too cool not to share. I recommend reading her if you have time. She has so many gems in her blog. I just loved this idea, especially for swap-bot when you want to make your package a little more special.

She posts two or three "round-ups" nearly every day that can be anything from crafts to knitting to quilting to furniture to weddings. AND! She has a search engine so you can search for seasonal or holiday crafts or just plain quilts.

This woman is based out of Australia. I'm only posting one of her embroidery stitch how-to posts. But at the bottom she has links to all the rest. I really like these.
