Thoughtfully Inappropriate Anti-Profile Surprise-

This is a swap for good sports with the ability to laugh at ourselves. :)

We will be reading our partner's profile and sending them a creative anti-profile surprise based on likes and dislikes. For example, if someone says they do not like clowns, you can send them a happy mime t-shirt. For someone who doesn't like cutesy stuff, maybe a Hello Kitty letter set? If they say they do not like 80s music, a Madonna CD from the thrift store would work nicely. If they don't like the color orange- nothing says "Happy Anti-Profile Surprise Swap!" like a big macrame orange owl you made. In my profile, I mention I am trying to stay away from vampire stuff. Obviously, a portrait you painted of the Twilight cast would be appropriate for this swap. :)

The Fine Print: It is very important that this is done in creative good fun among people who are in on the joke. DO NOT send your partner anything to which he or she or anyone in their household is allergic or sensitive (including cigarette smoke)! It is best to stay away from scented items for this swap. DO NOT send anything that would truly traumatize your partner or their household! The goal is to make them laugh, not send them to the hospital or to therapy. DO NOT send anything meant to offend your partner on a moral, political, or religious basis. Given these rules, it would be best to pick something fairly benign that your partner does not prefer, not something he or she is dead set against. If you question whether something would make your partner sick or offend them on a moral or spiritual basis, DO NOT send it! Do not send terribly grotesque items or any pornography.

That said, by signing up, we are agreeing to receive a gag gift of something we probably will not like and to rate our partner well if it is thoughtfully inappropriate. :)

If you get a partner who does not list some benign things that he or she does not like, feel free to send something nobody would like- such as a Richard Simmons poster or a bumper sticker that reads, "I Love Mono!"

The thoughtfully inappropriate items may be new, used, or handmade. They should total between $3-$7. If you find two or more things you think your partner would love to hate, feel free to send more than one item.

Obviously, tacky items are okay but send only things you would love to hate. ;)

Open to new swappers with a full profile and a sense of humor. Open to established swappers with at least a 4.9 rating and the willingness to laugh at themselves and poke gentle fun at their partner's preferences.

Please do not sign up if you will not be able to send or not be able to send on time. Do not sign up if you don't get the "feel" of this swap. Again, this is to have fun; not to hurt, offend, or traumatize our partners.

I will have to ban anyone with sketchy profiles or histories, recent 1s or 3s or unexplained ones or strings of 3s.
