Swap description: Hold the front page!
Design, write & illustrate the front page of your very own newspaper:

  • Choose a title
  • add at least one photo or illustration
  • add a headline
  • add text to accompany your headline
  • add some 'tasters' of what your readers would find inside your newspaper (if they happened to be receiving more than a single page) – e.g. turn to page 6 for...[fill in the blank]

Each front page should be A4/letter-size. The requirement for the swap is to send a single-sided front page. However, feel free to add a back page to the reverse, if you feel so inspired – just for fun!

Style, subject etc are all entirely up to you: factual or fictional, the only criteria is that the text is written by you. Please do not copy up a genuine news story from a real newspaper. Be creative!

Front pages may be handwritten/hand-drawn, typed, word-processed, cut-paste-and-photocopied – whatever suits your style.

Your front page may be mailed flat (unfolded), folded in half (one crease, to A5/half-size), or folded into thirds to fit a DL/business envelope (2 creases). Please do not fold to A6/quarter-size.

The obvious bit
As well as meeting requirements as outlined on group homepage participants must have no late swaps on their dashboard, no 3 ratings in the last 3 months, and no 1 ratings in the last 12 months. I will check before assigning partners, so please contact me if you are concerned. I will take extenuating circumstances into account, but the happy swapping of the majority is the most important factor.

Do either of you object to my using a legal sized peice of paper ( 8 1/2 inches by 14 inches) ? It feels more like a newspaper. I promise I'll only fold it in thirds still. :)
