I don't know about you - but I love making and using handmade dishcloths! They make me happy! :) For this swap you will have 1 partner and you will either knit or crochet them a dishcloth! Look at your partner's profile and see if you can make them a dishcloth that will make them happy too! These must be made with 100% cotton - which if you are anything like me you have a TON in your stash! I can't stop buying them when they go on sale! :) Check out Ravelry and Crochet Pattern Central for patterns and inspiration! This will be an international swap since they are light and can be mailed flat - so postage should be low! You must have at least a 4.9 rating and 5 rated Package Type 3 swaps under your belt. Can't wait to start!

What is the usual size of a knitted dishcloth? I would love to do this one!

I make mine about 6" x 6".

@sundaeschool - I have never measured my dishcloths - I usually just use the needle suggested in whatever pattern I use.

Take a look at some of the patterns at the places I mentioned above and that may giver you a better idea!! :)

I haven't measured my dishcloths until recently, but found that I prefer my cloths to be around 7"-8". I have several that I'm using now that were 6", atleast they were before I washed them, lol. So, that's why I've started making mine a bit larger to give room for some shrinkage:)

I agree with you @bettflow09 I prefer my dishcloths a bit larger to allow for the shrinkage once they are washed! :)
